It was abysmal Most of the players who you thought would be trying to get in team on Saturday following the Walsall defeat appeared to be off the pace and performed as if it was a training game The young Dutch lad Gyliano VV showed a few nice moves with nifty footwork but none of the players rated anywhere near good enough Not as bad as the stuffing a few years ago to Whitehawk but Dean Cox and Sergio Torres certainly had the last laugh!!
I still don't understand why Sergio wasn't mentioned in the match preview on the website, thought that was quite disrespectful given his service. Cox was definitely out to prove something and was the best player in the 2nd half whipping in some brilliant crosses.
I thought Eastbourne were really up for it and deserved to win. Offensively they were sharp with Cox playing well and the young no 11 doing well but the no 9 Greg Luer was the difference, he looked a class act and we should try and sign him ASAP before somebody else does.

I agree Luer must have family local having been at Burgess Hill and could be ideal to add to our squad without breaking the bank.
