"we finished last season satisfactory or average".. "last 9 weeks we fell short of our expectations" "When I left the round I talked to some fans on the outside and I had to answer them.. was also how we were feeling as a group..we had to make the change for the better of the club talking abut Gabby departure)...
Transfers: "Naturally all players performances been looked at"... "we are a club but also a company"...."message to the fans let me reassure you in 4 years we've done all possible for the club and will continue to do so" goes on to thanks the fans and asks fans to keep the faith and trust in them and explain the last year has been the highest funding. He refers to his opening statement when started at the club of 8 to 10 years to get up to the Championship........."the plan is in progress"...then goes on to contrast 5 contracted players along with loans) at their tenure start to current 31 contracted players and they are loaning out players (smiles at this point) "so we have progressed with our squad management and strategy"....goes on to say improved as a company and building infrastructure....not done, room for improvement etc...we carry on to learn and do so, we take responsibility on and off pitch this is a Company all A to Z we take responsibility ...given lot support to community and will continue to do so we provide facilities for kids ...we hope to create a club that can be self-sustainable in order to compete and move on and there are many different avenues that we are searching at the moment and I believe with time we will be able to succeed on these fronts.”…..”small individuals talk of people, bigger brains talk about systems” (smiles) (surely this is a direct reference to Kelly? and are fans being referenced as having smaller brains)…..”We have to think about our culture and systems”
“I wish everyone a happy Christmas and a Happy New Year. Seasons greetings”
NOT AN EXACT VERBATIM BUT NOT FAR OFF I THINK I'VE CAPTURED THE MAIN POINTS and highlighted a few things that I was drawn to . In addiction it seems like a message of business as usual but to say we are on track after 4 years to get to the Championship Im not sure many if any fans would agree with that???
BBC posted this earlier. Not a club statement, but doesn't sound like he's going anywhere.
IMPORTANT This link is a different message to what is posted on the club website "financial rejig" and goes on to say the owner is a successful business man in the Steel industry in Turkey.

I agree. Little that would reassure me that they have a scooby doo what they are doing.
Why do we have 31 contracted players? Total nonsense for a L2 team. Add that to Erden, a DoF, a manager, 2 assistants, 3 other coaches and a couple of analysts and you can see why we have issues.
He also refers to 15 years as football owner but nothing to explain why his Turkish club was relegated 4 seasons running and then shut down.
I didn't understand the bit about record levels of investment - more than PH was putting in? I stand to be corrected but I find that hard to believe.
The references to a business are interesting, trimming of budgets??

Far too many people around here are out to slate the owner. At least we have an owner with a vision and prepared keep us afloat. Should he disappear we would be far worse off. Thank you Ziya for your support, I for one appreciate it.

Genuine question - what is his vision?
given whats been said that has to be Championship football in 4 to 6 years

After what happened with Yeovil, I wonder if the Championship is a poisoned chalice anyway.

I don't think too many people have an issue with Eren. We are all grateful he bought the club when he did - and for all the millions of his own money he is putting in each year just to keep us in business. I reckon without Ziya Eren we'd have been up shit creek.
The problem most of us have is the people he has appointed to run the club in his stead. They seem to be genuinely clueless. Every time Selim or Erdem is interviewed it sounds like a load of BS and waffle, that they are just making it up as they go along. They can't even talk the talk - who actually believes the nonsense they spout about a 'vision' or 'family' etc....
On the pitch, it's not been great. A succession of rookie managers just hasn't worked for us. We have too big a squad for L2 - why pay players if they are never going to get a game for the first team? Why have a DoF? Selim continually signs players that the manager neither wants nor plays. Yems has inherited a really large backroom team. Again, do we need that many of them? It's clearly not working as performances recently have been bad and getting steadily worse. No criticism of Yems, I think he can steady the ship and get us mid-table, but then in the summer it's gonna be the inevitable clear out of players and we start to rebuild yet again.
Under the current regime, I don't see anything changing for the better. For us to improve, Eren needs to appoint people that actually know how to run a football club, rather than fire someone who actually knew what they were doing. I for one would be a lot happier about things if we'd ditched Selim or Erdem and kept Kelly and Bruce Talbot.

When we got to L1 previously - with the same stated ambition - it proved unsustainable & we all know that simply surviving in the Championship is exponentially more.
In reality we should have put more focus on long term building up the CLUB infrastructure (youth, training ground, crowds, fan & community expansion... etc) rather than short term success for the TEAM.
I want to see some decent football played with pride, scrapping when we need to & showboating when we can... and results can take care of themselves.
Don't get me wrong, i love a bit of glory as much as the next man, but lets set some firmer foundations first.
Like most herein, i have no problem with Ziya Eren and am thankful for his financial input.
But it is evidently clear that communication has been very poor & that impacts engagement & progress. Furthermore, complaining about criticism & speculation looks immature & ridiculous when you have assisted in founding & fuelling it. Which party was 1st to casually & carelessly mention "financial challenges"...?
Like most, I do not know the background to Kellys dismissal, but the public image it fostered (how it was done even more than why it was done) was far from positive - or even acceptable - for a professional operation at the heart of a community.
Every business knows that perceptions matter... and that any commercial operation needs to - at the very least - appear credible... otherwise forget the mission, message or vision... because they are already undermined...!

I see. I thought for a minute the poster was making a serious point.
Championship in 4-6 years. Barring a miracle I doubt it. After all Eren has been here nearly 4 seasons and we haven't moved up a single place in the division, let alone in the pyramid.
And as pointed our elsewhere PH was putting in about £2m a year (if not more) to keep us at League 1 level.
Sorry to say Eren has dug his own hole. Firing Kelly, all the crap about top 8/10 budgets, "we will contend", 31 players on contract and so on. That I'm afraid isn't how successful teams are run.
If Eren needs any guidance on how to get a smallish club up the leagues, go and have a chat with Ben Robinson at Burton. He has worked a miracle on the budget and support base they have. That might be a refreshing difference to pretending he is/was a successful football man in Turkey, the results prove otherwise.
