I think we’ve missed about 6-7 goal scoring chances today, it should be a massacre
it was still a Christmas stuffing. Great game because I still think we had more in the locker. Watch out those doz or so teams above us. Great start by Yems. Play offs anyone?
Fantastic performance. 3 clean sheets in 4 is massive progress from where we were. Might be quiet on here tonight unless some people can find something to moan about. Few ideas to get you started - Yems interview wasn’t entertaining enough. Morris didn’t make many saves. Forwards should have scored 3 or 4 more. Pitch not what it used to be...
Superb performance. Must have been our biggest win for a years, can’t remember last time we won by 4 goals in a league match. From the off we were on the front foot, getting stuck in and getting the ball forward at every opportunity, good simple football and Ferguson scored a cracking volley from an angle in the box which took everyone by surprise including their keeper.
Second was even to start off with and I was thinking we need a second goal or we will revert to type and Northampton will come back into it, but a well worked second goal mid way through the second half was just the tonic and Northampton completely crumbled from then on and we could have scored 6 or 7. In the end 4-0 was a fair reflection of our dominance, but the two injuries from the Northampton players soured the win slightly, never nice to see players getting badly injured with long stoppages which killed the atmosphere, good respect showed by all clapping them off. Great result in the end, hopefully give the players confidence.
Wow that was unexpected and to think I nearly binned the game off. Great goal by Ferguson to start off the jolly japes (although we could of been 2 up by this point) Sublime stuff by Young, Palmer & Bez for the 2nd. And Palmer & Bloomfield made for more festive fun. I thought Northampton were very poor and their number 4 was one tackle from a red card. 4 - 0 flattered them and I so wanted Doherty to score that final chance. One sour note 2 of the Cobblers players were carried off on stretchers, I really hope they are not seriously injured.
Fantastic result.......terrible crowd. Boxing day often sees some of the biggest crowds of the year. Not for us.....would have been one of the smallest on the National league, hopefully a few more results like this and they will return. Well played reds.
I could not make it, gutted and a great performance, all it takes is a few wins like that and you shoot back up the league. I also hear my favourite full backs played very well, looking forward to the next game.

I think Northampton were made to look a bad team due to the Reds endevours, although we lined up 4 4 2 it was good to see the flexibility of players supporting and covering each other it shows a new sense of responsibility and intelligence that's being created under Mr Yems lets hope we can build on it.
