Just watched the fans forum 3 yrs is a bold statement. Appreciate what your saying George based on 10 games at the start of the season you would not have predicted the fall that followed. I think Yems does have more pedigree and an experienced deputy than the past few management teams. Plus his also a stand up comedian it seems. Given current injuries and inherited squad on a poor run you really could not ask more in terms of work ethic the players are putting in. Has to be more sustainable that he lives in Horsham rather than living away from your family in Italy. He has contacts in English football and plays two up at home. Who is looking forward to going to games again?
Very pleased with a point from that game. Would we have come back from 2-1 down under Cioffi? From the highlights Bez gave away the pen then lost the ball for their 2nd. Apart from those how did he play? I ask as he seemed off the boil against Grimsby.

It is a double-edged sword FNB, Bez would never have tracked back that far under Ciofi.
Valid point that Thad. Another point Nasedan missed another one on one last night, I make that four in recent games. Again would he have got into that position under Cioffi?
No, no, no....a few swallows doesn't make a season..Doubt club can afford to keep paying managers off. Keep working hard doing the right things getting results and there will be no need to worry about not having a longer contract. Its still early days. John has been a real injection of positive energy the club needed but we must NOT dish out unnecessary long contracts anymore especially to managers. We are only 13th and even the form table (past 6) only notches us up one position.
Also has he any scouting duties for ctfc now? and even if he has can we afford to expand an already large squad? Lets see continuation of getting the best out of what we have. Absolutely no need to bow to Yems 'demands'.
George as administrator of the forum I’d have thought you’d have watched the fans forum. Yems has been given a 3 year contract
yes ive seen that now and commented elsewhere unfortunately life work etc hasnt enabled me to catch up and im more getting the highlighted short version on here (thanks everyone)!

doubt it Cioffi wouldve had him playing left back by now

I suspect his colleagues may have mentioned his team responsibilities after the match. He had plenty of time for personal reflection on the return coach journey.
Lets hope for a positive response - no sulking...!
Bez is a class act, one of the first names on the team sheet. All the players were knackered yesterday chasing shadows mostly in the second half. Great spirit to get the hail mary goal at the end
A draw away at Plymouth is a good result. Just like beating Bradford and Northampton.
We need to start putting away the teams around us though, as that is what gets you in the play offs.
But we seem to have more backbone these days, as JTG said under Cioffi it would have been a limp defeat accompanied by the usual excuses and Stephen saying how wonderful it all was.

The owners always said they would get someone in who understood the club, well it took them an Australian and an Italian to do it but they have finally got there!
Remember Dermot (rest his soul) had us in and around the play-offs halfway through the season. It's really not how you start as a manager but what you do when the inevitable run of bad results arrive. This is the test that awaits our current dynamic duo (I think Bradbury's role is prominent) and that is when I'll be properly judging them. A top half finish with a positive goal difference has to be the realistic target for this season
Actually Steve, Cioffi did try changing the shape the last game he was in charge of (Fleetwood). You can't change the players as such but if it ain't working change it somehow!
He appeared to have realised it and was one reason I thought Cioffi was sacked at the wrong moment.

But this is a discussion for another thread.

I might also have given Cioffi a bit longer, but that’s because I liked him as a personality not because I had strong confidence in his record. Hard to argue against the notion that he was the wrong fit for us. Hope he gets a job nearer to his home and heart
