We need to start putting away the teams around us though, as that is what gets you in the play offs.
Lot of truth in that Simon.
I feel we are often better matched against the attacking football oriented sides, they will have more possession & chances, but we will also get opportunities to break at speed & exploit the spaces they leave
We seem to struggle more against defensively minded teams, who we have to break down when they circle the wagons.

If we could just have 46 games like the one against Northampton at home where the opposition just gives up in the second half then that would be swell!

Strangest game I watched this season we were good but not .... that good
It is improving, but this season we have over relied on a running game up front, usually from wide positions.
We have not profited enough from chances playing through the centre or dead balls.
Hopefully, the cameo at Plymouth from "Peckham Pirlo" Jack Powell provides initial optimism that we can address this area & bring on a game-changer when required.
a late surge into the play offs is possible but we will need to put a string of wins together. Consistency is key and it so often what lets us dowm.
I remember when we played Yeovil at home and completely battered them only to lose, courtesy of a David Hunt own goal right at the end of the game. Yeovil then went on a winning run of around eight games on the bounce and eventually won promotion to The Championship, so it shows anything is possible.
Keep the faith !!

Yes I remember that game I travelled all the way from Southampton on a Tuesday night, got fined by some jobsworth see you next Tuesday because I didn’t have half of my railcard as I was leaving Crawley station and then almost missed the match. We battered them for 89 minutes, didn’t take our chances, then we score an own goal from a corner and lose the match 1-0 completely deflating our play off charge. A throughly miserable night!
