Crawley Town play at home to Stevenage in League Two of the 2019/2020 season, SATURDAY 22ND FEBRUARY 2020 3:00 pm kick off. Please keep all discussion about the match to this thread. Thank you and come on Reds!
great reaction from Bez for the goal (that stood, Crawley had an early one ruled offside). Not been great we have allowed them to come as us my guess is 60/40 possession in Stevanage favour. Stevenage lack quality and look shaky we need to have a go more take this to them and finish them off. HT 1-0 to Reds.
Thought the subs did well, German gave us pace & threat, Powell gave us much needed composure, Pooch gave us frustration & joy in equal measure... but we desperately needed a body in there because they were getting through us far too easily.
As usual Morris was needed too, when we required a great save.
Thought we made harder work of it than was necessary, tried to manage the game out too early & created more problems than it solved.
If we could string a few passes together we would be a pretty good side.
Not the greatest game, abject most of second half when we sat back dangerously, Burker King FC missed a few sitters and I thought we did burger all to react to the double whoppers coming our way at times. But we had the real Sundae sweetner with a last minute blast from Ash and inbetween a couple of bacon rashers from German striking the woodwork. Somewhat embarressing playing it in the corner against a side that couldnt hit a barn door but hey ho 3 points, a clean sheet and we maintain our middle of the road position. Yems did his best to milkshake up the team arguably too soon putting on the remaining 2 subs with half hour to play (risk of injury and down to 10 players) but if you get bored with a beefburger why not add a slice or two of cheese.
