How does everyone feel about this desicion? I think either a postponement or behind closed doors was inevitable. Too early to say what to do with the season but with the football authotities discouraging players gathering training etc, I can't see the season re-starting straight away even if it was safer to do do clubs will want a couple of weeks training etc.

I can't remember where I read it, but one possibility put out there was to play the Euro international competition in the summer of 2021 and use this summer for countries to complete their league seasons. Of course, that depends on what this virus is planning. Looking further ahead (not a good idea at the moment) 21/22 season will be buggered up by having the World Cup in Qatar. That decision is looking worse than ever now, but obviously the current problems could not have been foreseen.

I think it's sensible, there is a lot of people freaking out, out there. Don't think we'll see football til near June, and by that stage I think it makes sense to just abandon it for this season. I think they should suspend relegation for one season and extend the Premiership by 2-3 of teams to allow promotion upwards through the leagues so no one loses out. It will kind of work out I think
Silver lining. I should be in the Caribbean for a couple of weeks., so I will not miss. A match!! Unfortunately the Caribbean is off as well, so it’s all bad news.
Its a hard pill to swallow no live matches and none on TV and hard to understand how some top non league matches Saturday that will attract larger attendances than some legaue 1 and league 2 games are going ahead but EFL has postponed the lot. Im not saying either is right or wrong I simply don't know... just hard to understand how both can be 'right'; arguably a bit like the UK's approach to the virus versus the Rest of the World.
If you need your football fix I would recommend three bridges. Whilst they haven’t had good results I’m sure they would appreciate a higher gate. You might be surprised at just how good the football can be even at a lower level. They have a good bar as well!

ive just found out that they are starting to postpone these matches. In that case Nadesan’s old club Horley could be a good idea
Only Conf/Conf South/ and Southern Combination (old County League) are left today and they will probably stop this week too. Pleasant time at Eastbourne v Maidstone today, not sure Luer looked that great in a comfortable home win

I was also at the Eastbourne game. Thought was a decent standard of football and an enjoyable game. Maidstone started well and had the better of the first half with Eastbourne fortunate to go in ahead at HT 1-0 thanks to an own goal.
Second half Maidstone shot themselves in the foot and gave the ball away from a free kick in their own half and Eastbourne counter and score. Third goal come shortly after and Eastbourne controlled the game from there and both sides could have scored a few more. Similar pattern to the Crawley Oldham game last week with the home team taking their chances and the away team missing theirs.
Greg Luer looked pretty average for Eastbourne, definitely not up to EFL standard judging by that performance, few other half decent players at Eastbourne we should maybe look at, their no. 11 who scored and was MOM looked half decent and looked quite young as well.
