Chelsea player Mason Mount was spotted playing at a football park along with West Ham's Declan Rice on Sunday, defying the club's self-isolation. Must be tough having to stop playing. What surprised me was why they havnt got a football pitch marked out in their back garden given all the money these premier players must be on!
Barnet are having to let staff go, the first of many clubs I fear trying to survive. www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/51933722 I do fear for other clubs and our own.

Yes I fear for others too including Crawley Town. It would be good if some of the money in the higher leagues filtered down so clubs like Barnet didn't have to take these measures.
The Barnet statement says they are taking this step because they are losing the parachute payment from the league. The statement said:
"Since relegation (from the English Football League), we have seen a general drop in crowd attendances of 50%, whilst general costs have increased resulting in operational losses of approximately £100,000 per month.
"The club budgeted for this cost in the hope of promotion but of course, at the end of April, all of our parachute funding will cease and we need to therefore make savings accordingly".
Then Coronavirus is added in the next paragraph.
I take that as the cuts are because the parachute payments cease they will have to trim their budget. Also, seeing as the National league has not had any games postponed I cannot see how the Coronavurus issue has affected them yet.
There will be severe hardships felt by many employees if football clubs due to the spead of convid 19. I'm not so sure what is happening at Barnet can be included among them.
I'd like to see TV channels show old matches from 70s,80s,90s,
It would give us our football fix and also we would not know the scores.
They could show league matches, cup matches and England games.
I'd watch them !
Last Sunday BT Sport was showing repeats of The Big Match. The one I saw had as a main feature Leyton Orient v Manchester United from the Second Division, 1974, presumably their first game after relegation from First Division.

Thank you. I'll have a look on BT.
By the way, I am thinking of ditching BT sport and Sky Sport until we get some live sport back.

Anyone else thinking / doing the same?
Any tips or advice ?
The premier league are meeting via video link this week and nothing is off the table including playing behind closed doors (though i think thats very wishful thinking) so maybe hold off until then.
In the meantime Sky Sports are going to be broadcasting a new series of Angling (fishing) for pasta. Also Wrestling (fellow shoppers) for the last loo roll. BT Sport will be showing the Strong man challenge a new inspiring sport where teams go up against each other in balancing as many tins of baked beans as they can before the stack falls. BT Sport also have exclusive rights to show the 100m relay race to grab hand sanitiser gel.
Even if this season is abandoned, no matter what else happens I think Liverpool should be awarded the title.
Couldn't disagree more.....would set a dangerous precedent. Void the season, only fair thing to do.
Fair? Don't be stupid. Wait until it's safe, then resume the season and play it to a finish. However long it takes. Even if it means the start of next season is delayed. All sports all around the world are in the same situation.
