George; in my waffley way that was one of the points I was trying to make.
The problems do not disappear come August...or September/October...
I feel the clubs have realised they have no chance to start playing in June or July so have kicked the ball further along and , Mr Micawber like, are hoping something turns up. The thing is. What choice do they have?

Talking of kicking the ball further along the road, I think that's all furlough is doing to people's jobs in and out of football.
Whilst it is good for those on furlough at the moment, I think a lot will end up being made redundant when clubs and firms need to stand on their own two feet again. They'll likely be on reduced income from the shrinking economy.
On a brighter note, I think live football could be a winner when we get back to normal.
If clubs market it right and we may see a surge in attendances , admittedly it may be shiort term but it may help clubs get through those tough early days after lockdown.

I agree there could be albeit maybe a short term surge there may well be Brighton fans that cant afford the Amex prices prepared to give Crawley a go for example. To sustain 92 football league clubs those at the top are gonna have to accept more money filters down to the bottom or long term I cannot see how English football sustains that number of profesional clubs.
WTF was football may have to change the way its played all about? Non contact? As a vacine may not be available for a year. How exactly do you change the game to make it acceptable to play in the current situation?
What a bunch of softies some premier league players ate refusing to train non contact at a distance with far safer measures than plenty care wofkers, shop keepers etc.
So if you are in West stand row A seat 1, 3 all odd ones come on in. Even number sorry you'll have your turn at alternate home matches. Row b sorry you're not welcome Row c see row A odd/even numbers
Ive never heard anything so daft. What about the queue for a cuppa or the loo. And I dread to think how long even a quarter full will take to exit whilst socially distancing.
At least a 25% capacity wouldn't be too much of a reduction on normal attendances.
yes thats about right id say but the West Stand as an example is always nearly full so you cant socially distance there. Look there js a simple solution the West Stand becomes the Sainsbury Stand the East Stand the Asda Enclosure, the BW stand the Tesco End and the away end the Morrisons Terrace - now as there's no social distancing in these places, sorted!
"No official referees will be allowed, with members of coaching staff taking charge." Is this a friendly or a kick about, jumpers down for goalposts. Laughable! I doubt Prem league will want to play league 2 teams but a closer match up to what they'll face in the premier league restart. If Crawley were approached would there be a benefit for Crawley? Unnecessary risk when the club wont be playing soon. Maybe a play off team will be involved though.

The littlest one or the last one to turn up goes in goal.
