I went to see Fulham play in the 60s when Man U were visiting. I remember the attendance was 47,000 - packed solid and would be regarded as unsafe these days. I remember Les Barrett and Alan Clarke scored for Fulham and George Best and Nobby Stiles for United. Foreign player names were fairly unusual then, so having a Tony Macedo in goal was unusual.
Tony Macedo was born in Gibraltar - a very brave 'keeper.

I assumed he had strong links to the UK, because the rules on foreign players were far stricter in those days. He was a very competent keeper, as I recall. I know he was with Fulham a long time, but was surprised to read just now that he notched up nearly 400 games with them.
