I would encourage anyone thats not seen this to listen in as there's some interesting stuff there. Scoreboard movement as league unhappy and Tom Allman appears to say the club took a risk positioning it where they did (off-putting according to the authorities e.g. when taking a pen) anyway its moving to the NE corner so some East stand fans will either need to grow the next of a giraffe or keep count on their fingers of the score and check watches! The bit about season tickets news coming in days or weeks amazed me, anyway he talks about a possible start late August/early September and this is based on club meets with the league. He also refers to social distancing and seeing how many people we can get on next season. Not sure how that fits in with the hospitality the club generously declared they will issue all these free tickets. Might need a new stadium to socially distance and fit us all in! Could just be hot air and no battering of CTFC intended here just Tom could be reiterating what he has been told but if that is anything like recent statements from the government about getting recreational sport going then I simply shake my head in disbelief! Kit launch end July earliest/start August. PA system upgrade (again!) no mention of the west stand hand dryers though (yes this IS serous do you not know these have been sighted as risky for spreading that virus droplets!). On a serious note the message is the club has been working hard and cant wait to re-open to supporters and I cant wait to be back. Thank you CTFC for all your hard work.
Tom is doing a fantastic job and the club are very lucky to him. As for the scoreboard I assumed it was going in the corner initially so it surprised me when they said it was going up above the stand originally. I know our previous one was there but after HKP said it was quite large I thought it would have to be on its own structure in a corner somewhere. Also good news about the PA system it’s been needed for a while instead of hearing “substitution for whiwbsdieheibdeu is numebiwdbbeidb”.But obviously these things cost money so I’m grateful as I’m sure all of us are that they are working on it. Cannot wait to get back in there. And I echo that George, well done to all at CTFC!
