He might well have learned from some of the mistakes he made when at Crawley.
in terms of raw statistics he’s one of our top managers of recent times in terms of results. However with Yems that may be dethroned
Yep, people have short memories, highest two finish since relegation until this season. We were 8th after comfortably beating Lincoln at home in the February.

JB, I take your point about Kewell's record but imho the football we played was dire. Also, his record towards the end was not great. Something like 2 wins from the last 20 games (statos; shoot that down).
I wouldn't want Kewell's style or Kewell back just the same as I wouldn't want Barker's style or Barker back and he is the manager who took us to our highest placed finish ever.

Opinions eh, who hasn't got one.

Barker had the strongest squad we'd ever assembled with possibly the highest amount we'd ever spent on the playing budget. For him to not finish in the top half of League One would have been an underachievement IMO.

2 from 12, as we ticked over 50 points with the Lincoln win, meaning we had taken 34 from the previous 17 after only having 18 from the first 17.

yeah that’s the thing, teams sussed us out towards the end of his reign and the playing out from the back crap cost us so many goals I lost count.
