The "Fans back in stadiums" thread has been merged with "New Season dates confirmed for EFL" thread as more or less the same topics are now being discussed in both threads. The title of this thread has changed to "New Season dates confirmed for EFL/Fans back in stadiums"
----------------------------original post below: So looks like theres no away days next season... and huge competition over seats - being a suggested lucky dip to fill 20-30% of the stadium. Do we know if the club will prioritise season ticket holders or they getting shafted?...

Good luck to the Stewards enforcing face masks! How to get fans back and fairly even our low gates will struggle. I imagine something like 3 categories of attendance available: A.... open to all general admission capped at 25% capacity
B.... season tickets group B (every other game)
C.... season tickets group C (every other game)
Start off AB, then AC and keep alternating. Nothing stopping fans being in more than one group unless clubs administer that properly. What Id like to see if all games televised live so fans dont miss out. I can see seats spread out BUT standing, how?
Can clubs make any profit at such low attendance given extra policing for the mask police etc?
Be huge OG if Crawley dont prioritise season ticket holders and fairly.
Surely the club would guarantee its season ticket holders first priority.
I believe last season we had less than 25% (if thats the allowable max attendance) of season ticket holders for the stadium capacity BUT you then have to counter in a large number of those sit next to each other in the West Stand. Who moves to the East or shuffles from prime centre spot etc. Occasionally I take in a game at the Amex for exanple but Id rather not go than be stuck high up in a corner yet to spread people about something has to give. By using the away end for home fans you can spread fans standing around. In reality its crazy as no way can a 2 metre distance be observed on refreshment queue and it certainly wont be in the Gents. Some clubs clearly are gonna have to rotate season ticket holders. No away fans and muffled voices, people fainting through face masks its not football as we knew it.
Capacity just short 6k, 1.5 max season ticket holders looks like no room for others. BUT the club is offering all these free tickets to key workers. How will the maths add up?

Let’s just hope that the social distancing can be reduced or even mitigated somehow so we don’t have this scenario. Given the choice I would rather wear a mask than have to sit 2 seats away from anyone in an area away from my regular spot.
I don’t think we have anything like 1,500 season ticket holders. But either way, allowing fans back into grounds is going to be very difficult to police with social distancing etc.

anyone near the media may have to move as the media spread out. Lots to consider.
The world around us has changed fast over the last 4 months and will continue to change, a lot could happen between now and September. At this point in time we haven’t heard anything official from the government yet as to when fans can be allowed back into football stadiums and even when we do hear there will be logistical challenges for lower league clubs to overcome to be able accommodate fans with clubs most likely having to conform to some sort of social distancing and probably mask wearing. How clubs will overcome these logistical challenges I don’t know, having greatly reduced spectator capacity will be a huge financial loss to lower league clubs and the add on effect of that including a likely reduction in match day revenue, sponsorship money etc. Could create a huge financial black hole for lower league clubs.
Talk of opening grounds 3 hours before ko is riddiculous. Firstly, who in their right mind want to wear a face mask for a total of nearly 5 hours? Secondly, despite the fact Im presumming eating/drink permits temp removal of face mask, what the heck is there to do/see for so long prior to kick off? If this is to spread the load of fans arriving someone is totally detached from reality. We are fortunate at Crawley we dont all arrive like for example cattle at the Amex but still.
Another thought, have clubs that have already sold season tickets for next season somewhat shot themselves in the foot with this reduced capacity, or taken a leaf of faith and are a step ahead?

Heaven forbid you should have to wear a mask for nearly 5 hours. What a chore
Season tickets on sale from Monday....really not sure how they can know what to charge given we might not be allowed in for months🤷♂️ That said, in a positive move, the prices are frozen for the sixth year running👍

I agree with all said. You may end up paying (over the odds (compared to purchasing directly (unless prices there are jacked up)) to watch live streaming.
