Just added to the BBC. I am hoping we can all watch a game very soon!! This is great news!
Need to know the detail here. 4,000 at the Broadfield would be a very good crowd and not far off capacity. It may well be limited to say 1,000 and I guess it will be a percentage of the capacity (please raise that to max CTFC). I trust the club are listening to all this and will be ready to go, unlike the last opportunity that we missed! Further to my post elsewhere in the forum I also believe the club MUST make ifollow available to all (Including Season ticket holders (STH)) even if STH decide last minute not to attend as some may prefer not to at least initially. Do not penalise these supporters and of course make viewing (with a vast improved) ifollow available to all. This must NOT be an opt in or out to use your place on terrace/seat or ifollow. These are constantly changing times and what if someone has to suddenly self-isolate?
Just updated in the news: Tier 1 max. of 4,000 fans; Tier 2 max. 2,000 fans
I assume it will have to be a ban on all away fans else it becomes chaotic having say home team tier 1 and away team tier 3; also clubs will then have to ensure that no away fans gain access to home areas, which presumably STH helps ensure no clash.
"Details to be publish imminently" Hancock says at 1651 today! Which tier everyone is in to be determined Thursday. So is it possible the club (RH11 9RX) could be in a different tier to where supporters reside and how does that work?
Tranmere Rovers Chairman on BBC News saying it will cost more letting limited STH in (more already raked in, but more stewarding etc costs required) and there will be an advantage/disadvantage if you are in a tier where fans can/t attend, but nevertheless a step in the right direction. He also said that having some STH in will help mitigate claims from supporters that have purchased season tickets and lost out (unable to attend in person).
UPDATE: its 4,000/2,000 or 50% capacity whichever is smaller. So no more than about 3,000 for the Broadfield (assuming capacity is nr 6,000?)
Social distancing still needs to be observed, it’s generally 25 per cent of capacity in seated areas. Not sure how that works out in terracing. If anything more precautions are needed there. Clubs with developed ticketing operations and a big off pitch staff infrastructure can organise this adeptly, might be trickier for a club like Crawley.
I think the Broadfield's capacity was reduced some time ago from about 5,900 to 5,600, so that should be 2,800ish allowed in. With away fans probably banned, I doubt we would be able to half-fill the stadium, but the first couple of games might manage it due to being starved of action for so long. I doubt I will be going for a while anyway as an over-60 who is classed as pre-diabetic. If it were possible to guarantee that I would be well away from everyone and could stand in a remote corner I might risk it, but that won't be practical.
Hopefully we may be able to return to the field of dreams after the lockdown or am I misreading the predictions.
I would imagine a lot of working out needs to be done (albeit some was addressed pre-October) but it is hopeful, yes. Just have to patiently await announcements and accept them I guess.

Its a shame you wont be able to attend in person for a while; hopefully it wont be too long before yourself and no doubt others in similar positions can be back in the ground. Its for this reason (& others) I feel ifollow (improved) must continue at least until the end of this season.
Looking at that figure 2,800 its impossible to see any social distancing. How can that possibly exist? If you do it cinema style and take out every other row and gaps between seats we would probably have to move some West Stand seats (perhaps those in end seats/blocks) to the East Stand as there must be a large proportion on West Stand seats taken as STH. Perhaps with no away fans those stood will spread out more. Some clearly wont. How does the club 'police' that?
Then add into the mix football includes shouting, singing, all we are told higher risky behaviour, I say again, social distancing etc.cant and wont happen. So why limit the capacity at all? Im not saying personally it shoulnt be limited but I think you can make strong arguement unless its seriously low say 1,000 tops social distancing is impossible to achieve. Try a 2 metre queue for a cuppa and at same time people going to toilets at haltime and another smoking. It aint gonna happen. Some theatres are re-opening with no breaks. It's not like football can play on no halftime interval.
It people don’t want this great opportunity to be taken away within weeks of it starting and spoil it for everyone else, they will have to social distance. If they are clearly flouting the rules, ban them and let someone else take their place.

Today I caught in the news Robbie Savage in his kids coaching role, was saying a similar thing, re parents need to socially distance so the return of kids football isn't put on hold again.
Be interesting if Erdem says anything on Talk of the Town, his updates there of late have been excellent. I'd be amazed if we were talking any more than 1,000 to 1,500.
ADMIN EDIT: Some recent posts from the thread "Some just can't live without it...(Non-league football)" have been moved here as the topic being discussed seems more related to fans back in the stadiums (the Broadfield).
