I believe its reviewed every 2 weeks so in theory we could be moved up a tier and not play Barrow at home in just over 2 weeks with fans in the ground.
Yeah definitely confusing. Typical BBC. The only part of the south east in tier one is the Isle of Wight. It's a long time since we were playing Newport IoW at non-league level.

I think the confusion is that we are currently in tier 1, but will be in tier 2 once fans are allowed to attend. 2,000 will be allowed in and I'm wondering if we will get that many. Maybe there will be an Old Fart's area where we might be allowed to spread out more
I believe the club took details from STH re bubbles they were in and any movement requests earlier this season but may wish to repeat this? i trust the club will be all ready for 12th December and the visit of Barrow assuming Barrow are not self-isolating. Lets hope this gets organised well. I see no reason why not and the club must have plenty of time already t have thought this through. Will 2,000 attend I doubt, but you never know. My guess would be no away fans though I have not seen anywhere a ban beyond Government advice re limiting travel. My guess is an attendance of 1,200
I hope non season ticket holders get a fair chance at getting tickets.
I heard a radio chat with a Chair of a lower-league club, Who stated that the number of attendees permitted, roughly corresponds with their level of pre-paid STH...
...so consequently - once you have factored in the increased matchday expenditure - having ONLY STH attending actually loses the club money.

I have heard that some clubs higher up the pyramid might not even let fans back in even though they can. Opening up a big stadium for only 2,000 fans will mean they will lose money.
Personally i think clubs should not of been allowed to sell ST this season due to un known future, but due to poor finance income in 2020 i can understand why they obviously did.

Its a hard call as no one knew the future but I can certainly see your point re clubs not selling ST. I think it would be a massive OG of any club didnt let their fan in though they may of course disguise the real reason as "not ready" etc
Whatever the club does, some will feel hard done by. I might have gone for it at a 651 capacity and hid myself away from civilisation in a far-flung corner of one of the terraces, but as a non-STH I realise there's no chance. To be perfectly honest, I've set my sights on next season by which time vaccines are likely to have been around for a while. I like football but I'm not going to risk dying for it.
So we only have 651 STH and by guaranteeing them only all admission to the first (Barrow) match it allows the club to say STH gained an advantage purchasing and putting with ifollow. Why? If we can let 2,000 in, let 2,000 in. Anyone that left money with the club at the end of last season may feel p1ssed off (along with others) at having to join a membership scheme, even if thats free, which it won't be. It's part of PL/bigger club approaches I detest.
I hope the club doesn't insult fans intelligence telling us its so they can get used to it all. They've had months to do that. Non-league clubs have handled over 1,000 fans and as some on here have stated its all ran smoothly and been a good experience. This could really backfire for the club. Fans will have jumped for joy at the return to football only to have those joys dashed. I await the news in full, but so far, it doesn't make sense and doesn't look good.
The message only refers to 651 guaranteed seats. So either we have no standing STH, or those that are standing STH won't be admitted, or are included in the 651, but will be allocated a seat, or have they just been excluded? Very poor, unclear, confusing communucation by the club.
