I really believe those of you having ifollow issues, that the problem is at your end. I watched the 90 minutes without so much as a stutter
that will be ifollows argument but the bandwidth point made above may well suggest its a service that perhaps needs super speeds fibre and so on and of course so many things can affect that. Looking across forums, twitter, facebook, social media in general including other clubs its hard to ignore others too having issues. I cant recall off hand which club, but I think I read a L1/L2 club wanting to withdraw from ifollow due to complaints and if i can find it again i will update here. Im pleased you havnt had issues, but clearly others have. When considering on one occasion I followed none of ifollows advice (it made no sense and some was quite riddiculous turn router off etc) 5 mins later it worked. Nothing else was being streemed or hammering the net. And Im not using a zx81 by the way.

I've only used it twice and it seemed adequate both times, even on a fairly low-spec computer by today's standards. However, there were things that may have assisted with this. I'm on Virginmedia which comes through fibre optic and, I'm told, this can be a bit quicker than the normal phone line, and also, I shut down all other windows and tabs while watching. It's not brilliant even with that, but the only buffering I usually get is waiting at the start.
There's a possibility that the ISP is being mean with bandwidth too - being throttled at either end can be detrimental. If the ISP has a high contention ratio and a lot of people are watching streaming video in an area at the same time, it can be a poorer service.
Until yesterday I would have agreed with Mattyman I have watched every I Follow Crawley game with few problems but it was the 30th min before I got a picture for the Harrogate game, this was despite turning off every other piece of broadband equipment and logging in via the I Follow app.
I gave up trying to watch matches on iFollow on my laptop because the picture regularly pauses for a moment and then restarts.
So yesterday I used my iPad and a strange thing happened. The stream worked fine on my iPad but when I plugged it into my TV using an HDMI connection I lost the picture and only had the sound. YouTube and iPlayer work fine on the TV so I am completely baffled as to why iFollow doesn’t work this way.

So confusing as we watched it exactly the same way,ipad/HDMI/TV and it worked fine all match. It doesn't sound like it's a 100% reliable service atm which is a shame as it's the only way to watch our teams nowadays. Hope it gets sorted before too many lose faith.
I must be the only person who hasn't had any major problems from iFollow - the family have watched every game this season and it was only the cup match against Millwall that messed about - and everyone had problems with that game which we got a refund for -
We have watched the games from my laptop to the TV via the HTMI lead - picture and sound perfect.
I have been watching the matches on an i pad without any problems. Then i bought an HDMI cable to connect to TV. This also worked well until the match before the cup game where the picture froze. This also coincided with update to i follow. The Torquay match i watched on i pad connected to TV with HDMI cable. This was on BBC in player. Yesterday’s game streamed well on i pad but would not connect to TV using HDMI cable. It appears that i follow has some sort of bar that prevents streaming to cable through HDMI cable. Very frustrating. The camera work for recent matches has been very poor. You see a player pass with no idea who will receive the pass. Bring back live football. I cannot get used to these televised matches.
On Saturday I missed the first 20 odd minutes of the game when it suddenly burst into life until this game I had been using Firefox with no trouble but it would not work just said Error 100. I finally got it to work on Microsoft Edge with all the problems people are experiencing Ifollow need to make it more robust. I did send them an email complaining but I have head anything back yet but I am not holding my breath expecting one.
I compare ifollow to similarities to asking station staff when the next train to wherever is and from what platform; now whilst there are some very informative and helpful staff on the railways, the more people you ask the more conflicting and confusing it all gets. That's my experience from ifollow chat in particular they will say the typical clear ad blockers stuff then try another connection try this try that and I've tried them all (well enough to know this ifollow isn't robust). Edge has been the most successful, followed by Chrome and Internet Explorer never works. I have yet to find anyone helpful on ifollow chat and emails sent their way get answered months later and ask you to contact your club. I think sometimes there is a bot on the chat too which isn't the most helpful. After a certian time after ko about 15 mins the chat seems to disappear anyway - that's how bothered they are. They take your money and are not interested. Bring back Setanta.
