What are your thoughts on him? I've not been convinced by him and think that a defensive partnership of Dallison and Tunnicliffe would be better? Craig is too slow to play at this level now IMO.
I agree with you and wonder if he is why we are playing five defenders who often look confused who to mark and a holding midfielder would make more sense as the midfield often looks overrun.

I think that is part of the problem playing 3 centre halves; no one takes responsibility. 4 defenders works better than 5.
Although I agree Craig may not be up to the level we are at in terms of trying to push on for a play off place it may well be the combination of defenders doesn't work well as well as the formation. 3 at the back is all very well but I think in that system there are times you need to close the gaps between them and that's what we've failed to do.
There was a clip from the highlights where Morris made a save and pushed the ball behind for a corner. If you look in the centre of the box when this happens there is a Bradford player all alone, pretty much, on the edge of the area running towards the penalty spot.
Now go back a few seconds and watch how he gets there by walking past our midfielders.
Now imagine if that shot had been at a slightly different angle and the ball had come of Morris towards the centre of the goal. The Bradford player would have had a tap in and we would be screaming where is the defence?
I do believe our defenders have their own problems but the midfield is not defending properly and needs action first. I also think we have a tendency to look for a scapegoat. I guess Craig is the favourite to be chosen.
It's at 51 seconds on the highlights if you want to see what I mean.
