Well I thought what she said was inappropriate as it looks like lots of others did as well. If she gives it she's got to take it.
I thought she made a decent point, others can disagree & tell her why, doubt she would have any issue with that...
...but for the club official site to personalise it...
...is just the sort of despicable action typical of those kestrel troubling types... a club that cheated its way to success in the past & even got caught at it under the current manager...!

Interesting, not sure I agree that a wholly unfounded accusation is a decent point but we can disagree on that. I'm not sure that there are too many kestrel worriers still working in the higher echelons of the club nowadays but I'm sure most clubs would have taken issue with that insinuation to be fair. The whole trend lately with having this diverse "experts" nonsense is bound to bring lots more situations like this in the future I'm sure. Still hope we stuff them on Sunday though.

I am not a fan of "experts", usually because they blandly state the bleeding obvious.
However, she is paid to express opinions & should be applauded for making original informed comments with a factual basis:
- While praising the energetic style of Dirty Leeds, she speculated if it was sustainable over the season - and referenced that previously in recent seasons they had run out of legs in the final stages - and although they had a sprint finish last season, it had been positively impacted by the break provided by lockdown.
Repeat... Factual basis... I do not even think it is very controversial & certainly not offensive.
However, we can disagree on her views, She knew people would, that is fair enough. An organised witch-hunt by club officials is not, it is bullying.
Yes and don’t forget, even when they get thrashed 6-2 at united or 3-0 at Spurs, we’re still supposed to keep worshipping them and say how brilliant they are (yet when one of the other promoted sides lose 3-0 to Villa, they’re the worst Premier League side in history and get laughed at🙄😡).

Maybe some media observers are worried about the consequences of even the slightest criticism of Dirty Leeds, in case the evil darling scumbags take offence... poor things...(?)
I'm not sure that if this exchange between the club and Carney had been between the club and ...say...Jamie Carragher anyone would have even noticed it.
Pundit says Leeds may run out of steam at the end of the season and the club responds with a denial and smiley face. Fans of said club jump on bandwagon and rubbish pundit.
If it was Carragher would we then have Rio Ferdinand, women in football body and Thad saying its terrible and the club are disgusting?

Jim Baker
Interesting point is Jim... that so many ex-pro's, who for decades were invariably of the male, pale & stale variety... ...have not had this type of treatment from official Club sources, which is probably why the likes of the Women in Football organisation felt it appropriate to comment..(?)
As for Thad, he thought it was quite a perceptive comment by Ms. Carney in the first place, thought the Club had overstepped the mark in its officially sanctioned reaction... ...but only felt motivated enough to comment on it because it involves those odious Dirty Leeds scumbags, who he has a pathological but entirely justified contempt for... ..and as a service to Crawley Town fans to be careful in their comments when referencing those evil shitebags as they happen to be our next opponents...!
Edit: Given his reputation for thoroughness - having analysed Dirty Leeds traditional tendency to implode towards the end of the season plus their long established reputation for cheating - I would not be surprised if a certain Argentinian had a planning meeting with shady individuals in Wuhan towards the latter part of 2019. As if that is not bad enough, it means that we can also blame the git for Luton's revival after lockdown too...
Leeds tweet was hardly controversial. I dont have the emojis but all that was written was...
Promoted because of covid? Won the league by ten points! Hi @ primevideosports
With the video of Karen Carney attached to the tweet.
Its hardly abusive.
As for not doing this previously I think you'll find they had run ins with Gabby Agbonlahor and Nottingham Forest and there wasn't this level of come back.
My general thought is that if you criticise someone you have to be prepared for criticism back.

Not abusive, but disproportionate, passive aggressive & likely to incite the significant section of ignorant scumbags that follow the despicable Dirty Leeds. What really gives it relevance is that it is an officially sanctioned club response, not to the actual programme or broadcaster (MoTD/BBC) involved, they obviously do not want to upset them... so instead, the evil shits go for the individual referencing her other (less influential) broadcast employer... who they must feel more able to push around...!

I will take your word for it Jim, but I have already stated why I think there is a bullying quality to this incident & why others may suspect a misogynist one, which has likely given it increased coverage.
My general thought is that if you criticise someone you have to be prepared for criticism back.
I am quoted as saying precisely those same words on multiple occasions of being banned by our club. However: Firstly - I don't actually believe that her observation was critical, it had a verifiable factual basis. Secondly - I am sure that she expected responses on social media, NOT a club orchestrated personal campaign to put pressure on her employer...(?) Thirdly - I would not expect any better from those cheating scumbags Dirty Dirty Leeds United...!
So please be careful what you post about Sunday's opponents, they are a delicate sensitive bunch
Oh we know Leeds can be precious and I will criticise people and organisations if I feel it's the right thing to do its just in this instance I think it started as fair opinion that was rebutted but has now taken on a life of its own.
To make it clear. The sexist/misogynistic postings of some people after the original 4 or 5 postings are clearly from minds that are stuck in the 17th century and those responsible will get no solace from me when their mum's find out and give them a thick ear!
