Very frustrating how we went out. I think the first half showed how the Covid situation affected the team. I wonder had we not had that journey into the match if we would've gone out. Second half our game improved because we had warmed up but by then we were chasing the game not level. Gutted to lose. We deserved more. Ref was a joke. We finished the stronger. For that I'm very proud. We gave Bournemouth a few scares.
No disgrace on going out the cup last night by the odd goal away to a team who could well be back in the Premier League in a few months.
Now to forget about it and focus on a promotion push š
Yes the fact we are 12th with multiple games in hand over teams above us means we can easily shoot up the table if we maximise as many points as we can. Cambridge is going to be very hard at the weekend and Iād take a point there.
No disgrace in that result under any circumstances, but given the disruption we had experienced, it is really quite an achievement... blimey, Tom Nichols even had to scurry down from the medical room at Sunderland...!
