I have felt this result and performance was going to happen and I'm afraid a few more are on the way.Injuries aside no goal threat, chaotic defending, no team tactics.
Second lowest budget achieves mid-table position. I'm not sure what people expect. Manager does okay considering the resources he's got to work with.
I accept the fact we may have a low budget but equally having a top budget doesn't guarantee success. Its what you do with it that is key too. Do we have enough balance in the side for example? We do have some key players out (Dallison, Greggo-Cox) but the lots of teams always have that too.
Tactically The Worst 2 Managers in League Two up against each other on Tuesday - Chris Beech & John Yems - Should be Interesting.
Maybe change the message we have seen this a few times now but for me Yems is doing a really good job and given a choice would have his contract extended rather than sacked!
Despite the result I thought Tarryn and Sam gave it a good go when they came on. Shame about the result but after witnessing our Barrow match I thought it was going to be a struggle. When our best and most consistent defender goes out injured then a shaky defence is inevitable (look at someone like Liverpool).

I would doubt if there is a Crawley manager in recent times with more popular support among fans than Yems, you’d certainly have to go back a fair way for another name

Not necessarily disputing, but - as a matter of interest - how do you know this?. I imagined that views on Yems were as mixed as they have been on previous bosses, but in the absence of attending matches can only go by what I see in forums like this.
On the subject of the popularity of previous bosses, anyone remember the singing of "We want you to stay" to Dean Saunders at Pboro away?

Yep I’m not claiming any scientific infallibility here but this is just my opinion, based on a general sense of what I’ve heard from various groups of other fans and comments on social media including here, I think there is stronger goodwill towards him than any other manager in recent times, I think it comes from his previous history with the club, that he is connected with the area, that he has us fighting at right end of table even at this late stage of season, and he has earned the club some decent money with his talent spotting.
Feel free to name an alternative, I agree Saunders was relatively well regarded but there was always a sense he was passing through here quickly, and did it surprise many he cleared off so quickly after relegation, so no I don’t think he tops John

All fair points. I have respect for what he has achieved, it was just the 'most popular' tag that surprised me. Personally, I don't much like how he portrays himself through the media, but accept that I may be on my own here. I wouldn't know, and I'm very sure that he wouldn't "give a monkeys" anyway.
