Southend relegated with Grimsby from league 2; crazy scenes at Peterborough v Lincoln - Peterborough promoted in last min drama. 96th min Exeter grab all 3 points at Bolton which should make our trip there all the more interesting,
We play Bolton at home. Very sad day with Southend relegated. They got what they deserved with poor management of the club over many years.
Yes its at home thanks (I meant "there" as in playing Bolton) but accept it reads as if we play away. I agree re Southend and its a southern team down so a loss there.
Good game Derby v Sheff Wed - Rooney's lot stay up and the tactics at the end to waste time unbelievable, smah the ball high up in the air, excellent goal-scoring position but no put it into the stands for a throw in - but hey did it somehow
Caught the end of Brentford v Bournemouth play off (Brentford won and go to final play off) very explosive, ref handles the game well by what I saw including highlights. Amazed no one was red carded in final minutes, Bournemouth threw everything at Brentford for an equaliser including the keeper up for more than a corner. A Brentford goal that stood when smashed in the end of box when looked a foul (had it not gone in the net) was one of those explosive goals smashed in at pace just as the challenge comes in. Anyone remember when we didn't have these play offs? How they've improved football!

I remember pre play off. Granted they provide excitement for the clubs involved but so often the teams that finished 3rd or 4th don’t go up which I think is really unfair. The league tables don’t lie therefore the best teams don’t always get promoted.

Clubs know the rules about the promotion at the start of the season- play-offs are usually won by the team who are the current form side so yes it’s sometimes the team who just make the last place can get promotion
