Delighted for Rodari, took that well. Frost reminding us he was one of our best players early in the season
It was one of those games lost early on where i was hoping we could just get a goal something to celebrate and it was well taken. A non-league player that has stepped up and put a goal past a now league 1 side so some positivity to take into next season.
12th really is bite yer arm stuff off at the start of this season. Anyone who says otherwise doesn’t understand the club or is trolling for attention.
Yems might still have plenty of work to do on the squad in the break. If Tunnicliffe goes, might have to start again with the defence. But we have a lot of other good performers in place. No reason not to be optimistic for the new season
That was the biggest load of crap we have dished up this season only one shot on target to their 11. We were just two slow and we got what we deserved, with Francomb getting sent of for two silly late lunges and with Wright J playing his usual crappy game we were playing with 9 men. Yems needs to have a long hard look as to which players he retains next season, he has to find another goal scorer because with the players we have where is the next goal coming from. We also need to mobile midfielders plus central defenders who have a bit of speed about them plus ball skills.
A good result.......in that it clearly shows where we have to strengthen for next season. Congratulations to Bolton they were by far the better team.
Watched the game on i follow, which I was pleased about. But the commentary was ahead of the play. You knew when Bolton scored a few seconds before the ball hit the back of the net. Also I cannot stand When Gary does the commentary. Bring back Tom.

need to clear out midfield and defence. We have two young strikers in German and Rodari and then Nichols and Nadesan. Unless we pick up another max Watters then we’ll have to make do
Start with the tactics. Did our coaching team look at Bolton? We set up almost exactly how they would want us to. Not only that but it was a system we were not used to so our players were reacting slowly to every situation.
Next comes selection. That midfield was a group of players who all play behind the ball. Some have more passing ability than others but none are going to go past anybody and any ball played past one of them was past them all.
Lastly performance. I honestly think we gave them three goals and we didn't cover ourselves in glory for the other. Our attacking play was non existent. We have a speedster in Nadesan but booting the ball upfield for him to chase is worthless if the midfield doesn't get anywhere near the box.
If you hang around me for a while longer you will find my dummy will soon be following my toys out of the pram. We have just embarrassed ourselves on national TV.
Best forget today, we looked a pub side. 4-0 plus ref missed an obvious penalty. They treated the second half as a training exercise and Crawley looked like the season ended last week.
Few players did themselves any favours. Nadesen looks like a Conference player, Big Joe is past it and midfield - did we have one? Ridiculous red card for Francomb who went off with barely a shrug.
However in the circumstances of this season I would have taken 12th, never in danger and briefly flirting with the play offs. The youth strategy is better than expensive has beens of the Morais/Vincelot type and the league position higher. Realistically we need to sell a player a season to survive when we return to 2,000 gates and plenty of long away trips. Hopefully one of Sutton or Bromley might come up rather than Hartlepool and Stockport.
There will presumably be turnover in the summer with some fringe players moved out (I see Ricky German mentioned above, I had forgotten he was still at Crawley) and hopefully we will strike it lucky with a couple of loans or a Watters type signing.
Could it have been better - yes. Could it have been worse - Southend and Grimsby will answer that.
I have noticed that in the teams we have played in the last few weeks all have had quite a few loan players where we only had one and he had to return to his parent club through injury. Should we get a couple or three loan players in next season?.

The Youngsters at the club must be devastated not to have even got on the bench in the last 20 games:- Hussein, Al Hussani, Burnett, Khaleel & Kowalcyzk. They must question why certain players are still starting every game and the likes of Mark Wright was on the bench today and they were not! I think a few of them will be calling their agents on Monday and I dont blame them.
I'm glad the seasons over I've had enough of the Yems apologists saying how happy they are with 12th spot.Despite the league position the football this season is some of the worst I've seen tactically and effort wise . I'm sure a lot of folks like me will be thinking twice spending money watching this dross.
