Is it? Nothing unusual with early bird discounts only applying on renewal. Not sure it’s a disgrace. Prices held for a seventh successive season as well.
I think what this refers to is the extra money STH paid for ifollow over a non-STH and the difference is only repaid if you renew. If you do you end up no better/worse of but if you don't renew you do.
Yes. But if someone is not renewing their season ticket, how can the club give them a discount on it?

The club are calling it a "discount" but really it's levelling up the difference some paid over others for exactly the same service. It can't be right that last season you have fans paying more for ifollow because they committed upfront to pay for a season ticket and others that watched on match-by-match basis paid less.

I have held off renewal as I may be at uni and unable to go regularly. The 'discount' only appears to apply if you renew. That can't be right. Having paid more to watch a shoddy ifollow service than a non-season ticket holder and then being held to ransom to only receive the difference refunded as a 'discount' on future purchase i.e. renewal is a disgrace.
What did the club say when you spoke to them about it?

Isn't the point here that you should not need this levelling up of what a STH and non-STH paid occur only if you renew? Shouldn't as I believe other clubs have done fans be given the reimbursement unconditionally?

Well that’s why they’re offering the discount on next season's season ticket….isn’t it?🤷♂️

see above (i.e. all good and well if you renew but not of you cant, don't for whatever reason I think Nick has a valid point)
