Crawley57 Away has received a 1 week ban - we will use a stepped approach unless a permanent ban is necessary, but we do not wish to moderate on opinions we disagree with. We can ban users by a range of methods so we are confident the ban will stay in place for the full week and longer if necessary. Please all we ask is keep the forum fun friendly and free from personal remarks. Difference of opinion is fine, it's when it gets repetitive etc. that it becomes a problem. Lets leave it there please and COYR
Yes, I have been the biggest Moaner on this site for the last 8 months. We have been in the Doldrums as a football club for 8 months! I was right to complain about them January Signings, they were all Rubbish. I was right to complain about the Management Team and the Owners and the direction the club was going in!
But on Saturday we turned the Corner. Yems has seen the Light! His August Signings are much better! With good players injured and ready to come back within 2 weeks our results will change quickly. We will go on an unbeaten run soon! If one of the newest 3 recruits turn out to be good then Top7 is assured and I am sure 1 of the 3 will!
I don’t know where this has come from? I can’t say I’ve been impressed with our start to the season so far, but I saw in the performance against Bristol Rovers that we definitely have enough to stay up this season. I suspect we will pick up a bit when a few players return from their injury and finish lower mid table around 14th-16th.

I see what the OP is now doing and he must be taking us all for a load of morons. I know a troll when I see one and it greatly diminishes any enjoyment of using this site. And yes, I know what his response to that would be:
C57 (and other bridge dwellers): "Crawley will be relegated. Crawley are playing crap. Player x is crap and can't do this or that. The manager's a Wayne Kerr for picking him and couldn't manage a bunk up in a brothel. Manager attacks snowflake fans. Yadayadayada."
Other posters: "Stop being so negative. You know there are injuries and you can't expect Premier quality from L2 players. We get what we pay for and there's a tight budget with only 2,000ish attending."
C57 (and other bridge dwellers): "Well if the manager picked a team that can win and be more entertaining (by playing while wearing Noddy hats with bells on top), we would get bigger attendances and could afford better players. We could get rid of Bobby Wrong and his bruv and the world would be a better place."
Admin: "Hey, C57, take it easy. Criticism is fine but you sound like a stuck record."
C57 (and other bridge dwellers): "Crawley are brilliant at the beautiful game and will win the Champions League within five years."
Okay, I exaggerate, but my enjoyment of this forum has become greatly diminished. I'm not going to do the hissy-fit dance and flounce away never to be seen again, but I think it's time to vastly reduce my time both on the internet and on this forum. When feeling persistently irritated, it's time for me to make changes.

Sorry to hear this. I tend to ignore (as a non admin forum user) posts from certain users but it can become difficult. Your input is valued and I do try to moderate to accept a range of views. I will talk to Alex about this as its a shame to lose your valued input.

I'm sorry you feel this way Paul but this is public forum - people have different views and opinions - that's what keeps it interesting. All forums live or die by the views expressed by the users and without that variety forums become echo chambers with self-confirmatory posts, reflecting only the views of the people who are left.
Surely we welcome debate, good or bad, agree or disagree. It was a sad day when Red, Red and Red was forced out of the forums because people didn't agree with him - he had a different perspective and brought colour to the forums and I felt he deserved to be treated better, even if he annoyed people on here. If we don't agree with someone's views we reply to them or ignore them. 57 may annoy people but has he broken any forum rules?
The ultimate decision of course, rests with the moderators and they take the decisions in their own way and we accept their decisions on our behalf but I would urge them to think carefully before acting in haste.

JOHN YEMS' RED ARMY!
Agreed about the public forum/opinion stuff. My tolerance is in short supply right now so it's better I keep away. It doesn't help that the IGNORE option often allows parts of posts to show (it looks like an intermittent bug). I'll restrict myself to only coming here for a while if there's a specific reason. I've been around long enough to pick out when someone is taking the pee.
a few comments on here doesn't make you a troll - yeah its good we have differing views or we might just as well talk to ourselves. I like the fact the Mods don't over moderate else the forum loses its diversity - we've had fans support and show lack of support for the manger - does that make one set less fans than others - of course it doesn't. We all like to believe we are experts - some more than others. Anyway if you don't agree with me do one - just joking!

Although the RR&R account might have been blocked, I think you'll find that the person still posts on here - the style and some of the expressions are unmistakable! I agree about diversity of opinion and occasionally that person does raise some valid points which, heaven forbid, I actually agree with. However, it is the constant repetition and the tendency to hijack every thread into the same old rant which drives people away and I do know of people who have given up looking at this site because of that. Plus, there is the suspicion that it is all being done purely to wind people up. All of which is a shame as it is nice to have a chance to discuss matters concerning the club and occasionally you can find out about things here that are not necessarily communicated via the official channels.
