I would make Lynch Captain with Immediate Effect. I'm sure Yems will be mulling this over! There will be games when Francomb does not play and Davies plays, whereas Lynch will always play if fit!

The way Lynch commands the defence anyone would think he IS captain already! Francomb isn't as much a leader so I agree make Lynch skipper.

Give the captaincy to a player who’s on a contract until January? Makes total sense……
I'd try and get that contract extended until at least the end of the season before even thinking about captaincy
But yes I could tell even in the pre season games that he's a natural leader by the way he was trying to organise everyone and his communication skills (even though he was a trialist at the time). It's not a surprise at all really in my opinion that he's started as well as he has here when you consider that he was a solid centre back at Championship level for a decade and was getting regular game time at that level as recently as 2019. Obviously his fitness levels will have suffered somewhat for not having a club at all last season but once that's fully come back I think he is probably too good for this level

I am skeptical as to the reason why he is only contracted until January. Either he is A) keeping his options open in the hope a club higher up the pyramid comes in for him given his experience. B) The club and or him are not sure how fit he really is given his injury record and age and are seeing how it goes.
From what I've heard about Lynch, I would tend to think it's A rather than B. After a pre season with us I'm sure we have a good idea where his fitness is at now.

Option 'C' we cant afford to commit financially beyond January?
If that's the case then surely the best option would be to try and get the likes of Tony Craig and Ricky German off the wage bill in January? Obviously all depends if Lynch can maintain the form he's showed
Also wondering, if Lynch and Dallison maintain a strong partnership at the back in the next few games, what happens with Tunnicliffe when he returns? Would be a great headache for Yems to have definitely

Let's be honest, there are a lot of players to be shifted. 36 players listed on the club website which is nonsense for a club like Crawley with no reserve set up. I understand taking a gamble on a few youngsters but 36 players?
What was the point of signing the guy from QPR? Hasn't played a minute so far in 4 weeks. Maybe they are paying his wages, but at 21 his career isn't being developed by sitting on the bench at Crawley. Generally loans are sent out with a view to getting experience, or perhaps QPR have decided already to release him in the summer so don't care either way.
I had forgotten German was still at Crawley. Seems to play more games for Grenada these days.
