Crawley Town play away against Colchester United in the 2021/22 EFL League 2, Saturday 18th September 15:00 kick off. Please keep all discussion about the match to this thread. Thank you and come on you Reds.
Great result. I believe a few on here predicted that result. A hatrick on Tuesday please. Lets all get behind the team. COYR.
I predicted a 1-0 win indeed, although did say I thought our goal would come a lot later in the game so guess that doesn't really count!
Very good win indeed for the boys, who were the standout players today? It was very pleasing to see two of the summer signings combine for the goal without a doubt
I definitely feel a lot more confident we will have a good season now than I did 10 days ago, hopefully August was a blip which was caused by the injuries we had at that time

Ferry, Lynch and Dallison were the stand outs for me. Ferry always a danger coming in from the left. It’s a shame that when Tunni is back, one of the two centre halves I’ve mentioned will have to drop out. They didn’t put a foot wrong today. It’s so nice to have two commanding centre backs on the pitch.

or maybe if the Centre halves keep playing that well Tunni will have to wait a little longer to play.

My biggest concern is that once Craig is fit, one of them will be dropped anyway. Love Yems, but he really seems to see something in Tony Craig that I’m not sure many others do

You could argue as well, now we have quite a few great options at center-back, that this will lead to those players improving themselves due to the competition around. Definitely a great problem to have now if you're the manager, especially considering we have often been poor defensively for a good few years.
Think Ferry already looks a lot better than the Southampton loanee we had last season, as at least he can get a run of games together without getting injured. Also helps that he can play left back as well as left mid, so if Nick gets injured he could slot in there, which helps as Dallison is far better as a CB and Yems doesn't seem convinced by Gallacher at all (which after reading the reaction to the Charlton match on here isn't surprising)
Lynch has been great since he signed permanently, pretty much a better version of Tony Craig. Personally I'd try and get him down on a longer contract ASAP then look to offload Craig in January
Sorry to miss this one (no ifollow video to purchase so that one two weeks ago must have been a weird glitch?) but would be interested to know how the midfield went as it was a bit iffy against Carlisle. I would have changed Payne but I’m reading here the Football League Paper gave him man of the match lol ah well game of opinions ha
