Like many on this forum I have had the pleasure of speaking with Mr Yems a thoroughly nice man but we can't go on like this our players seem lacking in tactics and motivation Yems seems to spend most of the game berating the ref and linesman a good talent spotter he may be but he's found wanting as a manager.

I agree, Yems might be a good scout and I think he'd be a decent director of football but he's not a good manager at all and he has no clue about tactics whatsoever. Seeing that we have 10 days before the next game I really think we need to make a change now so that gives us enough time to find the right permanent manager before the Walsall game.
Yems was only meant to be an interim manager when he was brought in IIRC but I don't want us to go down that route as it would seem panicky. Think we should aim to bring someone in with next season in mind as well, there are some decent managers available in the market right now who I feel we can realistically get and who would do a much better job than this bloke
We got what we deserved. Keeping sending up high balls when playing into the wind did not work. Mansfield coped with the conditions far better than us. I understood bringing on Joel lynch at the end but he needed more than 2 minutes.

FT Crawley 1 Mansfield 2. First half we started poorly and Mansfield scored after a decent ball to the back post and their player was free to volley in from close range. Lots of balls switched from side to side, down the wings opened us up time after time.
Second half equaliser came unexpectedly with Tilley firing in from the edge of the box with a shot he cut across which flew into the corner. Game on. We had a good spell for 10-15 minutes after that and Mansfield scored somewhat against the flow of the play on the break finishing off a one on one. From there we huffed and puffed, but Mansfield carefully managed the game out. Very disappointing. You can’t play well for 15 minutes and expect to win a game.
2 Straight Losses @ Walsall & Orient and Yems is Gone!
I did say that Craig & Powell will cost him his job and that will happen VERY SOON!
Best Playerin the Squad Joel Lynch was Fully Fit, On the Bench & Never got on the Pitch. What is that all about?
Ah you’re back then, after being strangely quiet this time last week.
Lynch came on as a sub.🙄
Which was an utter waste as it was done in injury time and he tried to play him as a striker. Was stupid really when I'm sure we had a striker or winger on the bench we could have brought on much earlier

I disagree. It was a last ditch attempt to force an equaliser. For a few minutes at the end you just need a presence up their to occupy defenders and try to get a header in.

Good point but why did he wait until injury time though? Should have done something at least 10 minutes earlier
On another note, attendance was really poor again today as well, clearly something needs to be done as there's nothing really at the moment that would tempt more people through the turnstiles. I can't remember the last time we were regularly getting less than 2000 for home games when restrictions didn't apply

To be honest I don't think anyone covered themselves in glory today, some players to me did not look like they were trying. No one was putting tackles in regularly, the ball kept getting lost in stupid positions, we kept getting done with the long ball, was really slow going forward, think I could carry on.
But can't blame it on just two specific players when I thought there were others that were as bad or worse

Watch the highlights. What the hell was Craig doing for their first goal?
Yems talks about men against boys. But that was our most senior player making yet another mistake

And what was Craig doing for the 2nd goal? Out of position, not marking tight enough, too slow! do I need to say more??
Oh alright then:- Tony Craig Last 40 Starts - 6 Wins , 10 Draws , 24 Losses. Goals per Game Conceded over last 40 Matches when Started = 1.93.

I'm not saying those players played particularly well or anything, in fact I don't think anyone did today. But just wanted to make the point that you can't blame all the issues we are having on one particular player. Over the last two months there have been players in my opinion that have been worse than Tony Craig
None of the players covered them selves in any glory today but the one who for me stood out as the worst of a bad lot was Powell. His passing was crap and his tackling as just as bad surely he has to be dropped, I see he now doesn't take the corners so at least we do now manage to get it over the first man.
