Yes, of course, though there is a tenuous link between public health and football at the moment. Unfortunately, no off-topic section has ever been created. There were a few requests here but I guess the site owner decided there was insufficient call for it even though we had one on the previous forum. Ironically, the thread where some of us requested it seems to have been overrun with spam from people selling medicines
Fair point Paul just looking for an escape like many!!

The reason why I have not created an ‘off topic’ thread for non football related discussion is because I had initially asked people if they wanted this, but I felt there was not enough engagement on the forum to warrant this and often ‘off topic’ stuff like the above discussion is somewhat relevant to football. I don’t see why people cannot respectfully engage in small discussions in off topic matters on here as long as it does not start to dominate the forum and everyone is engaging respectfully with each other.
Sadly the lines between politics, football and everyday life have been totally blurred now and it’s almost impossible to escape this.
I’m sure we all have our opinions on the global situation, but we are all here ultimately united by our love of football and Crawley Town FC.
I don’t what to have to be put in a position where things need to censored or moderated.
It’s an interesting discussion and good points have been made on all sides, I was generally impressed by what the club did this time last year and I would trust them to make good calls this time round. Anyone worried I perfectly understand wanting to take a break and play it extra safe

Always difficult to please everybody -understand that. How do we create new trhreads?

Thanks George - don't seem to see this anywhere when I sign on? What screen should it be on?
You select “Talk Football” to be here. Where “Talk Football” sits on the page (top left) it should be white on red background …scroll your eyesight across to the right of the screen and you should see “Create Thread” on the same red background as “Talk Football”. If I can get a screen print up I will, but hope that helps.
