After the shaky start we finished the strongest and really unlucky to drop 2 points. I see on ifollow the ref was getting loads of stick from Swindon club officials and boing from the fans left in the ground as the match officials left the pitch at the end.

Gutting to draw at the end to a last minute deflected scrappy goal. Probably didn’t deserve to win though, not a great performance. Second half we were hanging on time wasting a lot. Nearly a classic 1-0 away win, but in the end a slice of luck gave Swindon probably what they would feel was a deserved equaliser. RGC looked unfit and was a passenger, think it was a mistake for Yems to start him. Seems RGC still has some way to go on his way back. Nadesan didn’t offer much either, few good attacks in the first half from the team, but in truth we didn’t offer much. Hopefully we’ll play better and win against Stevenage on Saturday at home.
I had just allowed myself to think "We're all gonna make it", when my favourite result - an under the cosh away win - was snatched from us in the dying moments.
Hey-ho, I am starting to spot a pattern, y'know someone really ought to produce a comparative analysis between our match performances in each half...
Swindon lost their heads over the penalty decision, nothing else the ref did was worth criticising. It was a definite foul but it’s just rare to see refs give those so far away from ball, so we probably were fortunate there
Watched this in the pub on ifollow after being unsure if we would be allowed a ticket on the door at Swindon?! Impressed with a battling second half display and gutted for the equaliser in the fashion it happened. But the boys can be proud.
If we can re-discover our previous home form and continue our new found away strength, we will be a real force n the league. 🤞
Obviously pretty gutting to concede in injury time again but from I heard a draw was probably a fair result. One big positive is that at least we have found someone who is decent at taking penalties at last!
Hopefully Archie's injury isn't too bad either, if he's out for Saturday my guess is that Tilley will move to RWB and Ludwig will start alongside Tunnicliffe and Craig

Decent summary. We stood off them for 25 mins and made them look good. Then we finished the first half the stronger team. Thought we could have had a second penalty just after the first, although we were a fair distance away. Second half we rode our luck, and it felt like some of the time wasting might come back to haunt us. Nadesan seemed to be on the verge of getting himself in trouble again and I was relieved to see him taken off.
Decent night out though. Good support from our lot.
It was an entertaining game and although Swindon had more of the ball they did very little with it as an attacking concern.
The first 25 minutes though, my goodness. You could see how they managed to score five against Northampton. They were quick, slick, fit and menacing. We started off very slowly and were off the pace of the game. They had several very good chances where they threatened without putting the defence or Glenn under too much pressure. Lots of cuts backs and shots from distance and only once did they actually look like scoring, when Glenn got his angles right.
After that we came more into the game and the last 20 minutes of the half we dominated. Tom had a glorious chance, where he had Reece in acres of space to his right, chose to shoot and hit it straight at the keeper from 10 yards out. We had two or three other very presentable chances and then the penalty. No doubt in my mind. From a corner, the ball was played across the 18 yard line, Tilley peeled off and came for the ball and the man marking him grabbed his arm and sent him spinning to the ground - within 10 yards of the referee.
A good penalty? Of course because he scored but it wasn't into the corner and I think if the keeper dived the right way, he would have saved it comfortably - but that it for another day.
Totally agree with Damo - we had another very good shout for a penalty minutes afterwards but I don't think the ref was brave enough to give it.
The second half, Swindon dominated possession and did...well, nothing with it. They huffed and they puffed and they ran out of ideas. They had maybe two or three shots that went straight into the keeper's arms, that was it. Our midfield and defence were absolutely superb and unlike the first half there was no panic, no last ditch tackles, no fouls on the edge of the box, no last gasp blocks (well, a couple perhaps) but they contained Swindon exceptionally well to the extent that I didn't think they would score in the second half - until we went into added time, then it looked inevitable.
Tony Craig and Tunnicliffe were unbelievable. Absolutely immense at the back - Tony Craig was directing the defence through the whole game and he was my Man of Match by some distance.
Special word for McKirdy though. He is an outstanding player at this level but he does himself (and Swindon) no favours. He was rightly booked, either for a ludicrous dive in the area or dissent following it and the referee had to call the captain over to calm him down. He didn't though, he chased after the referee and throughout the rest of the game was complaining, gesturing and diving constantly. He deserved a red card and nobody could have complained. My Swindon friends told me after the game that he is always like that.
Those who were lucky enough to be there or watch though ifollow, make of it what you will but personally, I think we are fantastic at the art of containment. This is not "a poor Crawley team" as opposition fans will tell you, this is not an "outplayed" team, there is an art to containment. It doesn't mean defence in depth, it doesn't mean fouling players, it doesn't mean retreating deeper. It means knowing how your opponents are likely to play and countering it, it means snuffing the threat before it gets to the box, it means keeping the shape and getting the balance right.
We had the means and the guile to break up their play and not permit the freedom that allowed them to score five against Northampton. Playing like this is just as skilful as flowing attacking moves.
Special word also for the referee - I thought he had an excellent game. Swindon like to take quick free kicks but every time they were either from the wrong place or the ball was rolling and the referee called them back to re-take it every time. The crowd were frustrated by this but the referee was right.
All in all, a fantastic point that should have been three. Well played everybody and well done to the supporters who were in good voice.

I can sort of see where you're coming from. the first 30 minutes or so we were outplayed and Swindon should have scored at least 1 or 2 goals. Had they have scored in that period we would have probably lost the game as they were playing superb football and we were getting battered.
We had a good spell towards the end of the first half in which we scored our goal, but second second half we were very negative, yes, we did defend well and we do seems to be better organized and harder to beat under Yems, but we have rode our luck a lot in some of the away games I've seen this season. We cannot keep relying on the opposition missing chances and Morris to pull off 3 or 4 decent saves each game.
When Morris retires that could be a big problem for us if we cannot get a decent replacement in. I hope the powers that be plan ahead for that when the time comes!

Excellent account of the evening Sons.
I did however think that you may have done Jack Powell a disservice with the above observation, maybe just be a simple case that it always seems tighter when you are at the ground. Have another look on the highlights, I feel he waited for the keeper to adjust his weight to one side... then softly "passed" it into the gap...(?)

It was a good evening down at Swindon. The game was entertaining with lots of incident. Disappointing to give away a deflected goal so late on, but overall 1-1 was a good result for us. Good performance from the Crawley fans with some witty songs aimed at the Swindon Ultra ( yes that is Ultra in the singular )
