There’s been rumours flying around for a few months now about American buyers. I tend to think this is quite a normal situation for many clubs, there are always this kind of speculation because football clubs tend to attract it. Let’s see if it comes to anything. I’m quite happy with the stability we’ve had in recent years during tough economic times so would approach any change with some caution
Obviously I would like to know more information if any of this stuff is accurate and if we are indeed on the brink of being sold. But if that does indeed happen then hopefully the new people will be able to invest in the club in a manner that is sustainable in the long term, and is looking to improve the club as a whole rather than aimlessly chucking money around at players and managers. Of course there would also be some big short-term questions that would need to be asked such as how big the transfer and wage budgets would be and what happens with John Yems' future
As for Ziya Eren, I agree that it has indeed been very nice to have some level of sustainability during what has been a very tough period for professional football but I feel this campaign things have become slightly stale at times and a change of hands could be fantastic if the right people are given the keys to the club
I’d advise anyone who thinks a change of ownership will always be good news to just do a search of Staines Town and also Saltdean, absolutely mental stories attached to those two clubs coming out today

Yes indeed, both seem to have resulted from really dodgy links they have, although I was very concerned that something was going wrong behind the scenes at Staines when they lost a home game 12-0 quite recently. I think if something is done in regards to our ownership I would want to do some research on their backgrounds, business history and who they have links with before fully concluding anything as you don't really know how genuine some of these people who are interested in buying football clubs are. The issues that have happened to Chelsea as a result of Vladimir Putin's invasion of Ukraine has without question highlighted the issue of where funding comes from
I have no idea if the rumours are true or not. I have heard them and other parts saying the club is being sold to t8wo A8mericans but the source of these is not exactly someone close to the club so I kept my council and waited for developments.
I will say that we have been very lucky with Ziya Eren, and its not that long ago we had some very dodgy owners, but if he does decide to sell we should all thank him and welcome him back if he decides to visit.

I absolutely agree, however with the long struggling Turkish economy, I have always wondered how long Ziya Eren could keep funnelling money in to the country for until only very recently, absolute 0 cash back out to him.

Staines have posted today "Please bare with us as our website appears to have been compromised by a third party"

Or indeed think back to earlier times at Crawley - two administrations and at least one other close shave.
