When Matt Tubbs signed, it was so exciting as I had been tracking him for a year or two. It didn’t need great scouts to realise that a goal machine was out there just waiting to be signed. But I feel the signing of Craig McAllister really made us tick up front.A superb pairing that scared the shite out of many a defence.
There’s no doubt that Telford looks the real deal at this level, and possibly higher. But is Nadz the one to do the work up front that Craig did for MT?? I’m not sure what the owners have planned, but I reckon these two could be dynamite. Let’s hope so.
And the perfect man to show the other players the "sights" on New Years Eve
You have to say, it does look positive
I'm sure the good folk of south wales will be delighted to welcome him back... Can see his predatory instincts & Tom Nic's class combining well. A definite marquee signing, less Matt Tubbs... more Daryl Clare...?

You mean he will play for nothing?
Blimey, I was actually being helpful Simon
I recall speaking to DC the day after that quote... and even after all these years... ...if I repeated his quote on the matter... ...we could both end up sharing a cell with the fella who made the original remark...!
What a player though, you just knew he would return later that season and score against us.

Seen a few Newport fans convincing themselves that he was only good for them because of his partnership with Baker-Richardson (who has now joined Crewe), and that he didn't look as good otherwise. I doubt it's that significant, a good player is a good player, but if we can keep him fit I do think he'd work well with Kwesi, who works his nuts off to hassle defenders and could open up all kinds of opportunities for Telford.

Yep exactly, I don’t know if anyone on here joined the twitter space following the signing but they admitted Telford is a high risk high reward signing. Yes he did well last season compared to his previous but the club know he’s a class player and have done a lot of analysis with Betsy and think that if they get him into certain positions he will have another golden boot season. Easier said than done though in this league!

Hi Folks..moved down to pasty land in 2006 from Crawley, now big fan of Argyle but big soft spot for the tinpots,Dom Telford you are getting a gem..can score all sorts of goals from everywhere. Cheeky chappy who will be a good fit for the dressing room and the club in general..treat him well and you will get bundles of goals.Thinking Crawley are def moving in the right direction now that yems has gone. Hope you all enjoy your season..must get back to my pasty !

Yes. Fair point. He was prolific last season (or at least up to February) but before that it was 6 in two seasons.
Maybe KB thinks he will pair up well with [insert someone's name], if he gets the chances it looks promising.
If he bangs in 15 goals by Christmas we'll probably sell him for half a million....Good business sense.
Don’t think we need to do that anymore though
Maybe not but its a nice option to have....businesses have to turn a profit and getting players in on a free gives you that option if the bottom line dictates it.

Yep but we'd have to be talking sily money, every player eventually has their price but it would have to be high. Great option as you say but let's not get ahead of ourselves. Worth remembering that Evans lost the first game of Project Promotion lol Kev will need to have time to gel with his new team and it may even take a little while
