Hi all! Do follow us on Twitter (https://twitter.com/ctfc_fancouncil) or on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/ctfcfancouncil). We will also be doing our best to update you via this thread.
To answer some of your questions, people were chosen by Preston who he believed would best represent the football supporters as well. For example, we have fans who have supported Crawley for a very long time, who are involved in the Community Foundation, in the CTSA, with the Disabled Supporters Alliance, as well as others who are just general fans and bring their own unique spin on things.

We have had 3 questions already answered that have been submitted by you, the fans:
How will CTFC be advertised locally? In the month leading up to the new season, £10,000 has been spent on marketing efforts. This includes advertising on screens in the town, social media ads, and producing 70,000 leaflets being distrubted in the local area.
Are there any plans to sell Merch in Town? It currently isn't financially viable to rent or employ staff to sell merchandise within the town. (Hopefully that changes!) However, there are plans to make it easier to buy merch at the ground, on a match day, with a pop-up stall open before and after games.
Any plans to improve the Bar queues? The club are currently applying for a licence to be able to serve alcohol outside of the Redz Bar. This will make it easier to serve people.
I thought that was what the CTSA was for to liase with the club
So in effect what is the benefit of the CTSA going forwards? Maybe Thad and those far better educated on this subject would be able to enlighten me
You are correct, as far as I’m aware this council is alongside the CTSA. As for why, not sure.
So I am the CTSA rep on the Fan Council. I am also, for my sins, on the board of the CTSA. Truthfully I think the Fan Council should remain separate from the CTSA and vice versa. They should be doing 2 separate things and the most important thing is that the CTSA, as a whole, remains independent from the club.

What is the purpose of the fans council and how does it differ to the CTSA? What is the council's aims and objectives? Thanks for your input and I trust all communications can be equally shared here.

So this is what I personally think the difference is: So the CTFC fan council isn't a new group that people can join. It it 8 fans who the owners have selected best represent the fans. I am on it representing the CTSA. The point of it is for the owner to run ideas through us and for us the give ideas to the owners. For example if they should change the type of alcohol being served, is there should be half time entertainment, what can be done to attract more fans. This group isn't independent from the club. If Preston wanted to, he could remove us if we started to disagree etc.
The CTSA are independent from the club and anyone can join. The independent thing is key and the main reason the CTSA is here and it is important to have. If shit hits the fan with the owners, the CTSA will be the ones kicking up a fuss about it. We will be making sure that all CTFC board members complete the fit and proper test. If the new owners decided to increase the ticket prices, the fan council can say something about it but imo the CTSA would have a bigger voice around it if they released a statement which would then be picked up by local media. The CTSA have a person on the board of Crawley and someone on the fan council.
