Just watching Chelsea v Man Utd game wonder if that equaliser was a goal. I looked 4 refs signal. Reminded me how awful this ref was at Crawley today. Ok Crawley won but he signalled for goal kick when Crawley struck a winner and was looking to book the GK for 'wasting time' taking goalkick when he failed to signal for offside. How that ref made ot this far is unbelieveable.
Shout out to Jack Powell for delivering a second exquisite set piece onto the head of our strikers in a row on Saturdays. He’ll obviously always be a marmite player among the fan base but he’s stepped up for his old team mate
That was the worst referee I've seen in a long time and that's saying something , and no way was that a penalty a mansfield player clearly pushed Nicholls into handling the ball , but at the end of the day in didn't matter and the best team won.
We had quite a good view of it and yes, Nichols did get a hefty shove in the back - something the ref was ignoring for a lot of aerial challenges. Unfortunately he also jumped with his arm vertically in the air and the ball did hit it. Not sure why players do that but any contact with the ball makes it hard for a crap ref like that not to give a penalty. Not sure how we picked up 4 bookings and they only got one.

Simple: whenever they went to ground they rolled around like turds picking up glitter. A few of them should consider taking up Equity memberships.

Agreed, thought he was outstanding, first half particularly.
Was expecting more from Mansfield who will not finish top 3 on that form. Deffo handball for the penalty, didn't see if Nichols was pushed. We scored 3 good goals and every player seems rejuvenated since Lewis took charge One concern is it seems all our centre backs are injured. Lewis must be the front runner for the job full time.
Yesterday’s result marked a great 7 days for the team. 3 wins, scoring 10 goals in the process. Nice to have a bit of positivity - long may it continue 😊
A good performance all round, and good to get the win despite the atrocious referee. The consistent bias against Crawley is a joke.
Every push in the back by a Mansfield player was ignored - as were some blatant shirt pulling (including an attempted shirt swap on Nadesan in the first half), yet any touch in the back by a Crawley player got a free kick called. 4 bookings, 3 for innocuous challenges, and an utter joke of one for time wasting (we've seen far far worse by opposing teams this season, but no opposition player has been booked for timewasting - we've had five so far this season). Their only booking was for handbags in Injury time. No booking for a kick in the head. No booking for the stamp on Tsaroulla. Not even a free kick for the two footed lunge on Oteh, yes he got the ball, but it was dangerous, and we've seen red cards for that in the PL etc. Nothing called for the blatant dive in the penalty area in Injury time.
A great win, was definitely a penalty which was a shame. I’ve been very impressed by Powell who has looked super sharp so far this season. Nadderz definitely deserved man of the match the way he took the goals on so confidently was fantastic with cool finishes. My only complaints are: the sloppy goal conceded, and I don’t like to rag on specific players but Johnson needs to attack the ball more or try and make a forward pass. He always panics and goes backwards or hesitates. Unbeaten run continues under the mighty Lewis Young…

Powell seems to be the player that has been most transformed in the last couple of weeks I reckon along with Nadesan
I was behind the goal and I honestly thought it was the Mansfield player who handled for the pen. Watched it back now and I probably would have given it. Likewise the booking in Tsaroulla. Didn't catch the player but out of control. Johnson I would not have given poor decision by the ref who seemed swayed by the Stags player asking for a red.
I would have booked a Stags player for going through on Robson. Don't get me wrong. If I was the manager I would have told my players to snap at an inexperienced keeper but they caught him twice and although not a booking in itself you need to protect a player who has been targeted.
In my view the foul on Oteh was very close to a red. The first player got the ball but the player sliding in took Oteh's ankle with the ball already gone. Don't think it was a dirty challenge as such. Late, studs out if control.
As others have already said that was an entertaining game. Two good attacks helped by two defences who couldn't cope. Throw in the hate figure if the ref and I thoroughly enjoyed myself.
Conroy was very assured as well, we are starting to see why he was signed now that he's got a run of games and match fitness. The torch might finally be passing from Craig re. senior pro at the back.
Chances are we will stick with the flat back 4 because we do have a group of very good wingers who are better suited to play closer to Nichols than the wing-back system allows, although that system served us well under Yems
I thought that a red card should have been shown to the Mansfield defender who appeared to push the linesman at the end of the game when Crawley were trying to hold the ball in the corner. Thé 2 footed challenge on Oteh deserved a red card. I will be surprised if Oteh will be fit to play on Tuesday night.

I forgot about that! Agreed He was very aggressive to the match official which no matter what we may think about their decisions is unacceptable.
