i fully believe the social experiment has failed WAGMI may well realise they have absolutely no idea what they are doing
unfortunately the EFL fit and proper tests are clearly not fit and proper and thus we could be heading to the wall unless something changes and soon
It’s been clear all along they have absolutely no idea how to run a football club. It’s all spin and unfortunately many have fallen for it.
That's a rather blinkered view. We are still in first year of ownership and have secured a top striker who we would never have got previously (although yet to see benefits), got funding into the club that has meant it is more secure, have a large squad that has some good talent in it (and some duds I know!). They have also improved the match day experience with a much better catering facility and the club has been run more energetically than previously (again not as fast and as much as some would like). Give them a chance, they are here to see us (and them) grow and succeed.

Are they or is this just a big game to them? I fully believe they wanted the club to grow and be a success but i feel they wanted it almost immediately, this isn't US sport football is a very different game and is far removed from the structure Soccer has in the US
I really hop i'm wrong and i'll be the first to hold my hands up and admit i was wrong but with the whole squad up for sale, another inexperienced manager it says to me they either dont have the capital to support the club, or dont want to throw anymore money at it, or they are bored and already throwing the towel in.
I believe that WAGMI has ambitions beyond its abilities, but with people around who know lower league football, there is no reason to not eventually become a league 1 fixture. I feel that Premier League and Championship bluster was excessive. We are winessing growing pains.

cant argue with your passion and I think we both want the same result
Am I being dumb here (always a possibility)? I have always believed all of Crawley's players are for sale all the time. If someone puts an acceptable offer in we have always accepted it. The club routinely sells players when someone else wants them.
The only difference I can see is that the players names have been added to the Transfer Room site. Just making something we have all always known ...well, known.
Trouble is good intentions dont necessarily mean good outcomes. Of course stuff people say and deny may actually be different and at the end of the day only time will tell. Theres no doubt the match day experience has improved in some quarters and got worse in others.
Long term we need stability to secure upward movement. Financially WAGMI have pumped huge sums in, it's always whoever is in charge a question and concern will that money keep coming. Im looking for more reassurances the news article is wrong/misleading/inaccurate/ half-truth etc and see where we go.
Its worrying times though as many loyal long standing people that have Crawley town in their veins have departed or been left out one way or another over the past seasons (including before WAGMI and for tragic circumstances), long term you can only sustain and grow if you have more people with Crawley at heart and Im looking for that to grow.
From a fan base we had the hardcore there Friday night. We wont grow if we repeat that 'performance'. Beyond fan base is that hub of Crawley people growing well weve seen e.g. Preston intergrate into the community from afar. Only he and others can really say, but I hope we are growing, but what I see doesn't always add up. I just hope my maths isn't very good.

I would say there is a difference between being happy with the squad but ready to accept the right offer if it came along (Tubbs, Barnett, Akpan type) and being unhappy with the squad and actively trying to shift players out.
Ha you posted a rubbish story across virtually every thread and are so bitter about it being wrong that you pick up I wrote Mike instead of Mark? Sure let’s compare our support for the club - how many games have you seen this season? What’s the opposite of a JCL (yeh just been a season ticket holder for about 15 years), a Johnny Never Seen Again?
🎣 Caught a whopper there.
Great work I’ll buy you a beer in Redz for catching me here, when are we talking, 2030-ish? 😉

I had just assumed it was just some technical thing about signing up to Transfer Room but you know if you are a Lincoln fan trying to get some clicks for a blog, that presentation ain’t gonna fly, you just want some panicky headlines to stir up a fanbase, much like the classic “Definition of Insanity” trying to skewer Matty Etherington. Time was when a fan base would push back at this kind of nonsense targeting the club for cheap sensation.
Everyone knows the squad needs an overhaul. Just hope it can be done while preserving some degree of confidentiality and privacy that all employed staff of the club deserve, including the players.

Didn’t Alain’s latest email have figures showing that our average attendances are up now to just under 3,000, a 800 rise on last season?
Know it’s the fashion now to think all data is garbage but there you go
Maybe it wasn’t such a terrible thing there were fewer people there to see an injury and illness-hit team struggle and better that there were way more for the terrific win against a playoff team 6 days earlier

Yes that’s a balanced view that dare I say we need a bit more of

For someone so obsessed with stats you’re not very good at them…average crowd up 694! Not that impressive when you consider the reduction in prices
