I heard that the owners are picking the team, and to be prepared for a number of regulars to be dropped. Wonder who will be playing instead? Can't be the B team lads, they haven't played any matches so won't have any stats.

Where have you heard that?
I have not seen anything to say who will actually pick the team...plenty of guesses but nothing solid.
Also, with our injury problems, players not playing means sod all.
After Sutton I would be dropping players if we have someone to replace them with. I'd go for a basic 442 with Oteh and Telford up front and I'd also try to find a spot for Mason after his excellent cameo v Sutton.

"It is imperative that we use these next two games to gather as much information about our current squad as possible to inform our actions in the transfer window. That includes selecting players who have received fewer opportunities in league contests to date, to ensure that our football operations team can properly evaluate them in this setting. I look forward to working collaboratively with Darren and the staff to ensure that we are utilizing this interim period as effectively as possible to set the club up for a productive January and, most importantly, for greater success in the long-term." Well it seems like judging by this statement from Preston you might have called it spot on!
Good luck Darren Byfield (you may need it tonight) especially explaining to Preston there's a reason why certain players haven't featured much in the first team. All said and done I want us to get something from this match and maybe being pitch side close up Preston will realise how important it is to know what you are doing and it could be useful for him to be so close to the action. COME ON YOU REDS!
Thinking back to that first game of the season in the conference v Rushden & Dismonds. Was it 2005/06? Our hastily assembled squad did the business that day!!
Actually nowhere near as 'experimental' as I thought it would be. More than happy to see a different midfield at least. Does look like the rumours were true about Craig, Hess and Francomb. On the field I'm not sure we actually lose all that much, but would be a significant lack of experience and leadership without them.
