Shit yourselves laughing. Preston Johnson in the dugout. The most ridiculous thing I have heard in 45 years of watching football.
Also:
"It is imperative that we use these next two games to gather as much information about our current squad as possible to inform our actions in the transfer window. That includes selecting players who have received fewer opportunities in league contests to date, to ensure that our football operations team can properly evaluate them in this setting."
So we are learning on the job now.
Other clubs must be hysterical at how ridiculous we look.
Well, whatever we think about the rest of the statement, I liked this bit "...an experienced and proven manager to guide the club forward."
Also, and this could be extremely naive, but he does indicate we will be fairly significantly reshaping the squad in January, which suggests there is money to spend. Of course he could just mean selling all our good players and signing a bunch of free agent nobodies on the cheap, but given all of this has come about due to "unacceptable results" it seems unlikely we'd deliberately weaken the team any further, though I accept given their record so far there is a very high chance they will still manage to do so.
Good luck to Darren and the lads tonight, and I guess we'll just have to wait and see beyond that.

What do they think they are gonna learn in the next two games that they haven't learnt in the first 5 months of the season?

I look forward to working collaboratively with Darren and the staff to ensure that we are utilizing this interim period as effectively as possible to set the club up for a productive January and, most importantly, for greater success in the long-term."
So Preston will be co-managing the team temporarily with coach Darren Byfield and will be pushing for the young and inexperienced players to start, despite us being in the middle of a relegation battle WAGMI seems to think this is the best way forward despite sacking Betsy who did that seem trick which got us into this mess in the first place!

Preston: "I have opted to fly back to the UK and take a more direct, hands-on role" WTF
"It is imperative that we use these next two games to gather as much information about our current squad as possible to inform our actions in the transfer window. That includes selecting players who have received fewer opportunities in league contests to date, to ensure that our football operations team can properly evaluate them in this setting." - There is a reason why certain players have not featured much on the pitch - they aren't good enough FFS, even Betsy wasn't this clueless.
