I see Colchester have signed another League 1 player Tom Hooper from Lincoln - BBC Sport. All we have done is re-signed a teenage keeper yet to make his debut, sold/released 3 players and had 3 loans called in. At least there is still 4 days to go before the window shuts. Only Newport and Rochdale seem to match us in inactivity.
I dunno why its all so complicated. Gillingham get a load of our players. They stay up, Scotty gets a load of Swindon players to re-join him at Crawley and we stay up. Hartlepool and Rochdale do fvck all and they get relegated. Sorted.

Rochdale are in trouble. They seem to be skint and with them being a sort of fan owned cooperative they don't have an owner who can put in a bit of extra money that might be needed to stave off relegation.
Hartlepool have signed a few, including Matty Dolan who's been a solid L2 performer for a while and are sniffing around strikers ("15 goal" Danny Johnson from Mansfield looks to be top of their list.)

Newport are not safe either, we have 2 games in hand and they have signed no one either
Not expecting any news today, but still feel we need at least a experienced RB, keeper and talk forward by close of play Tuesday. What does everyone else think?
I don't care if he never opens his mouth as long as he scores
We showed yesterday that maneouverability can be just as important as height if players are prepared to get in front of defenders. Tubbs used that tactic too - he didn't often win a header in a straight jump against a defender but he could outwit them by nipping in front. A big lump to aim for would be helpful when needing to play that way though - preferably one with a turning circle narrower than an oil tanker.
