Disagree with reducing the ticket price, the get a free extra ticket if you’re a season ticket holder deal always works well instead. However as broadfielddave mentions we ALWAYS bottle it when something like this happens.

When freebies are given out, you normally see a bored mum who spends all match on her phone, with a 5 year old who is too young to concentrate on a whole match. There's no way she's gonna bring him back anytime soon.

As we fight for our Football League survival we have an idea to put to you. 2 months today, on Saturday 25th March, we host Rochdale, who are bottom of the Football League. It is international weekend, so there are no Premier League or Championship games.
Make this game a fiver a ticket and kids for a quid. Or go one better and do a pay what you can day? Let’s pack the Broadfield Stadium out, get behind the team and entice more people to come to games.

This objection always comes up whenever this idea is suggested but surely this year is less relevant than ever? Season ticket holders currently possess something around a £100 approx subsidy off their season tickets given by Wagmi. So giving the wider fan base a £20 subsidy doesn’t seem excessive at all. A good idea from the CTSA
