Thought Khaleel was really good for a 19 year old on debut. Looks skillfull can find space and a great passing game.
Perhaps needs to put a bit of muscle on but very promising. Hope he's on a contract for next few years as he will likely go up a level if he can build on today.
Great first half ...but seemed to sit back a little bit in the second .
Agree Khaleel took it really well and worked his socks off, Lindsey gave him lots of praise. You could see a season or two ago he has the ability and talent but needed to bulk up a little bit. Really pleased for him. In terms of the game it was nice to see us actually dominate midfield for once, very close at the end and we can’t bottle it like that against Gillingham in their current form. Good game and a good start nice to celebrate with Lindsey at full time too.

Absolutely brilliant. Dare I say it, for the first time this season we looked like a team that had been coached. Obviously helped by the lengthy time on the training pitch in recent weeks. The pressing was excellent for the first hour or so, then understandably players began to tire. The passing was impressive, the intent as well, just an all-round excellent performance.
Corey managed to both do quite well while also showing enough holes in his game to confirm we need to go get a first choice goalie before the window closes, Ludi and Conroy were mostly solid, probably the best performance I've seen from Johnson even if it was still probably 6 or 7 out of 10. Powell and Jenks looked really good as a two, understood why the latter came off as he was on a booking from the idiot ref, Khaleel was impressively confident and competent, Fellows magnificent, Oteh had some nice moments and Telford was a lot more involved. Absolutely loved that Salford fans were chanting "You're just a **** Andy Carroll", and then he scores a header from the next corner.
Lindsey was vocal all game, and showed his passion at the end. Probably just a cheap way of winning the fans over straight away but hell, why not? He's got me onside already, not just by that but there were clear signs of this team actually having an identity for the first time in ages.
Still need to figure out how to shut games down once we're ahead but in fairness the players were clearly knackered after the effort to get 3-0 up and Salford are a good team, imagine being able to bring Matt Smith off the bench. Huge three points, and hopefully the first of many.
Still need a goalie, a centre back, a holding mid and a target man before the window shuts, but massive effort from the lads. Hopefully that fills them with confidence from here.
The first hour or so was really good and we were deservedly 3-0 up. Rafiq had a good game and looked confident on the ball which surprised me for a player so young who has barely played, but was encouraging to see. Going forward we definitely looked a lot better and I really fancied our chance against a team like Salford as we generally play better against teams that have more of the ball and aren’t as psychical as likes of Sutton. We could’ve gone 4-0 up when Fellows missed a 1 on 1 and had that gone in the score line would have been much better and we may not have sat back so much. Last 20 minutes or so were concerning as we seemed to run out of steam (maybe a lack of fitness which shouldn’t be happening when we’ve had plenty of time on the training pitch) and we made the game much more difficult than it needed to be, but thankfully the 3 goals were enough to see us over the line. We need to build on this and make sure we do NOT lose to relegation rivals Gillingham next week.
Good to see and hear the WAGMI protest even when 3 up. On the pitch we did enough we needed 3 points we collected them and overall a lot of effort put in, several players could've been MOM. A good start under Scotty.
A pity the defence beamed up for the last few minutes, but I would have been happy with a draw before kickoff. A battling performance that proved just good enough in the end. Engage.

Yes absolutely fantastic when the team are hanging on to a 3-1 lead and all they can hear is negative chanting from the fans.
I guess the bright side is with Salford having no away following at least our players didn’t get it from both ends of the ground
Corey – did ok, not sure if should held first shot before a follow up got Salford their first. Conroy – put a good shift in. Powell – too many backward and sideway passes. No idea why pulled up by ref for a foul – he ‘never’ tackles! Stayed on pitch because Jenks (shooting excepted) far worse. Rafiq impressed, got into several early goal scoring positions and with more composure might score. Gladwin looked off the pace, not 100% fit? Mazeed – waste of time, there are better players at Three Bridges. Do not play him ever again. Ludwig contender for MOM stuck his lanky leg out to good effect. Telford one of his best considering Oteh went AWOL too often and played miles apart from our captain who rightly was annoyed to be sub’d. Oteh isn’t good enough for L2. Nick T drifts outta position at key moments and needs to improve his defensive play, that said was a better than average performance. Fellows best match seen him play, excellent first touch. Ashley was largely absent not sure if he was sat down in the East stand when he came on, far too wide and needed to start more central. Travis and Ransom not up to L2.
Most important we got 3 points, overall I agree with other comments looked coached properly and organised largely well. Work rate exceptional at times, understandably tired a bit and City grew into game; close shaves but we held on deserved the 3 points. Fans – the best in the world.

I credit the players with enough intelligence such if they listened they would have heard "I don't care about WAGMI, WAGMI don't care about me, all I care about is CTFC"
My MOM was Corey. Made two very ĝood saves and one exceptional.
I’m staggered at any criticism of him. The first goal was fired at him from point blank range and he did brilliantly to get down to get a hand on it, keepers don’t catch those. Both goals we conceded were more about the midfield shield being less effective with all the subs. I guess Lindsey wants to see what his squad have to offer but I think in future he won’t be so tinkerman when another 15 mins was needed after the Jenks goal

It’s still negative chanting George, how about chanting positively FOR the players? Fans have to play their role in making the Broadfield a fortress and not getting a free ride off the hard work of the team

Up the Reds!
My priority would be another CB (we’d be in trouble if Conroy picked up another knock and Lynch our best player by far can’t be relied upon), then the elusive striker foil for Telford. Midfield we are ok, Khaleel is almost like another signing and we have to see what Lindsey can do with Wells. Agreed some keeper back up would be good but there’s always an emergency market for that

The players didn't get it from our fans at all. They were backed 100% and you know that. The negativity was aimed at Wagmi. You know that too. Protests aimed at the owners does not equal not supporting the team. The two things are entirely different. You're completely aware of that, but feel the need to make yourself look foolish on here. Carry on, every forum needs it's comedy show.
