Unlike the club post-match interviews, they aren’t just the usual questions, but go into his past, coaching methods, tactics etc. Have to say, the interviewer was really good, particularly considering he’s young and not a Crawley fan. Worth watching (particularly for the couple of fans who keep booing in the West Stand)
Thanks for posting this, it was a very informative and the young lad doing the interviewing was very impressive, Lots on Scotts philosophy recommend to anyone that they make a cup of tea and put an hour aside to view this

Link isn’t working for me mate. Can you let me know what the chaps name is and I can search twatter please?
Interesting what you say about the boo boys. There was another instance of SL reacting against criticism from the West Stand during Tuesdays match that I observed.

I wish they’d just keep it zipped. Embarrassing.
Yes, the interviewer is tomhwilliams23
The 2 booing in the West Stand are clearly passionate supporters (and supporters for a long time) and to be fair, yes early in the season a lot of the passing around at the back was aimless, as it had been under Betsy, but mostly now the players at the back are positively looking for openings to pass into midfield and a bit of patience is needed. It takes time for a new group of players to get used to a system of playing and get the confidence to play the way a manager wants them to. Booing doesn’t help them at all.
That’s the best interview with Scott Lindsey that I’ve heard. I guess from what he’s saying we can expect one or two departures this summer who are going onto better things.

Unusually for me, I sat in the marquee above the halfway line for the Stockport game. The more elevated and central view gave me a different perspective: several times when we passed around the back it did gradually tempt Stockport forward and then we tried to pounce into the gaps. Of course, this stopped working after Stockport went ahead - and on the night, they did it better than us anyhow. But it's not always as pointless as it sometimes appears from some other parts of the ground.

Can we get this Bloke every week? Would make a change from the normal 'YES MAN' interviewer.

I think that’s a “touch” unfair on our media guy
Firstly our media guy won’t be doing long in depth interviews, they will be short 3-15 minutes ones pre and post game and twice a week on many occasions, there are only so many questions he can ask on the same sort of subject (what’s your thoughts on the upcoming game, how did you feel the game went etc)
Then rather than being an independent reporter or a newspaper/radio reporter where you probably can pose more probing questions, he is employed by the club, so he is hardly going to ask questions or dig to the point of being awkward to the head coach
I think generally overall the media team do a relatively good job of the interviews and footage they show as I’m guessing again that they have a limited budget and not that of Warner Brothers!
Thanks for posting East Sussex Red Really enjoyed the watch. Scott comes across as very dedicated and committed to success for which I thank him.
I'm not sure why but I am still to feel he sees himself as one of us and that its just a job that will probably lead to another one and that's the way it is.
I'm not sure why I feel like this and don't criticise him for it. In the same way he said in the interview that building and selling players gives him a good feeling I think he sees himself and his staff the same way which in all fairness he deserves based on what he has done for us. I sense that we would miss him more than he would miss us if push came to shove but again its something I cant quantify or really explain. Lets hope I am wrong and his bond with the owners is so strong he remains her for the longer term.
Sometimes a club gets a perfect match for a manager to stay for an extended time - these managers feel at home and providing they are going about building the club their way they tend to succeed - look at Robbins at Coventry, even Gareth Ainsworth at Wycombe until he went to QPR which turned out to be a big mistake - it’s very easy to get rid but when you get a manager that is doing a great job you have to find away to keep him - personally I hope Scott is here for the foreseeable future- clubs will be looking but him but it doesn’t mean he will be a success at another club. It is a brilliant and interesting interview- how many clubs would have taken a chance on bringing in the number of players from the lower divisions and getting rid of the older experienced ones - hopefully he and the coaches have identified a few more for next season - l will not worry about any signings made in the next transfer windows

Looking at the club website our media team is now a one man band - all things considered the output is still miles ahead of a lot of teams in the league imo..
If SL is reacting to criticism he needs to learn to ignore. He will never please everyone but Im confident 95%+ are behind him.
He's doing a great job at CTFC. Hopefully he doesn't get his head turned by any interest from other clubs, and stays with us long-term. If there's any criticism coming from the West Stand during games, he just needs to ignore it, as you say.

Yes it used to be Sam and and Tom and now it’s just Sam. Sam loves the club. Last I recall Tom went to work for a company linked to Erdem, not sure if he still does.
