The extra tickets per ST might be less meaningful if its a seat and no seats available nearby
That’s always been the same
True, but I imagine e.g. the West Stand will sell out and could be only STH next season, so two extra tickets cant go there as I believe its only league matches so the appeal of bringing 2 friends along and them sitting/standing elsewhere drops. Personally I don't think they needed this 'incentive' after a play off promotion.
What some clubs do is ask ST's that if they cant make a match then let the club know and then they can sell the seat again.
If attendances get close to capacity regularly that would make a lot of sense I know at the Amex they do this kind of thing and the club takes a small admin cut.

I tend to give my extra tickets to non-STH that go regularly, so they get a free game. As I stand in the terrace, we can still stand together. I suppose a person who normally sits, can stand with their friends if they wish.
My usual purchase is a game-by-game concession standing ticket which will be increasing by 30%. That sounds a lot until you realise that it's £10 to £13 and I do 10 - 12 home games a season, so and extra £30 to £36 a year. There is no mention of 5-game tickets which can shave off about £2 a game. Really, I think that is still a very good deal even without the 5-game packages.
Looking at the website (under home tickets) it says details of multi game vouchers will be released at end of 24/25 season ticket sales window (don't know if this means 1 July or later). Club has done this in previous seasons as understandably their priority is to concentrate on season ticket sales first.

Thanks, Sooty. I missed that, but realise that they don't start selling then till October or even November. I may well go for the season ticket this year, but will be missing a few games as I do other stuff sometimes.
Personally don't see a problem with them going on sale for new sign ups at same time as renewals, we want lots of new season ticket holders! We have a month to get them to ensure you keep currents seats. You don't have to renew them on day 1, if you do then deal with a possible que. No winners for renewing first couple days, especially as they don't even give out the phsical season ticket till about July
I personally think we’ll have an average of 4000 home fans next season - could be a surge of London premier team supporters deciding enough is enough with the cost of their tickets and travel - I know a few who have decided that so they can bring their children as well - we’ll soon see if season tickets sell well over the next few weeks - especially with the under 14’s free with a paying adult- compared with premier teams who charge everyone in the stadium.
Although it's probably not the right reason, I am feeling more persuaded to a season ticket by my usual price increasing by 30%: it greatly reduces the price difference.
I think the club should cap the number of season tickets they sell especially seats, else fans that cant make it regularly miss out. Other clubs do this and CTFC should too. It also backfires if say high percentage 80/90% are all STH because if fans cant ever go or very often they lose interest an go elsewhere.
I also agree its daft having (And disrespectful to loyal STH fans they re in a queue with NON STH getting ST for the 1st time. The club are creating unnecessary queues. Also why not wait until the online system is working else by the time its working virtually all tickets will be sold and the online system has little immediate benefit. Someone at the club need to think these things through properly.
Don’t think there’s any danger of the club selling so many season tickets that other fans miss out.

i think that could happen in the West Stand and it wouldnt surprise me if half the East stand gets filled with STH
Strikes me bit unnecessary and why create long queues for loyal STH when allowing non-STH to purchase ST at the SAME time from outset with existing renewals? The club could have eased the process in before the online system is operative (or waited for this!) by allowing say a few days JUST STH to renew with also accepting new applications.
In a way I think the club may actually like long queues. It shows the loyalty and commitment of STH, which will make the club feel good. Also it is good advertising and will hopefully sell more tickets as people will not want to lose out. I predict club will be publishing photos of the queues on their Twitter account by 12 tomorrow to encourage people to get their tickets.
They say the online system will hopefully available in a few weeks. I would therefore not be surprised if this comes on line after the early bird window closes.

I think other people in your position (number of games go to) may think the same.By raising the match day prices by a much bigger percentage, it will hopefully encourage more sales up front (other clubs offer Early Bird discounts to get much higher season sales early on, and they have learnt from this).
By raising match day prices by higher amount, it also ensures we maximise the amount we get from anticipated much bigger away support too.
I will be.surprised if they do the £2 games this year, but if they do they will be higher prices (£5 or more?) or maybe a two games for the price of one deal?

Nothing wrong with that, that's what makes season tickets tempting - the idea of getting several games for free, always has been the idea really, that's what clubs want.

It’s a no brainer for me and is why I’ve had a season ticket for a number of years, even before getting the wrinkly discount. I never see all the home games in a season anyway but it does provide the security of knowing I will get in when it comes to bigger games where we are reaching capacity, and also for being in pole position for things like FA Cup or play off tickets. I appreciate that not everyone has the disposable income to be able to do this especially if there is no way to spread the payment other than using a credit card and accumulating interest.
