Sooty, a Great View - you wont need them unless you are half blind!
My guess looking at the stadium layout it will be similar to al those PL grounds characterless so like Amex where ive sat at the back in the corner its an ok view obviously not close to the opposite goalmouth but ok, Wembley back of the top tier maybe binoculars if you really want to but i doubt these are on the banned list of items to enter the stadium. I personally feel high up further back is better than ground level.
I'm actually going to the Amex to see Horsham in the Sussex Senior Cup Final the previous night. They are actually selling lower tier only seats so hopefully should be good.
The Oakwood boys are looking forward to going to your dump you fake pretenders
I got it. But where do I start? The silliness? The double-negative?
Try to have fun and enjoy life, young man. These experiences are too precious to waste on hate.
Enjoy your trip to MK. Whatever the result.
Just ignore the fake bravado. We always welcome the away fans and the bar at the ground is always full of both home and away fans who are most welcome. Im looking forward to both games and hoping for two good games of football.
A visiting MK Dons fan here. It has been several years since I last visited your ground and enjoyed the best pie of any away trip (steak and merlow which you no longer provide I understand).
A couple of points:
The 'cowshed' refers back to when we were in a temporary home at the National Hockey Stadium. The singing stand was just like a cowshed, so it stuck to refer to the main singing section at SMK too.
Our club has a policy of reciprocating hospitality. You've prioritised home fans to gain a competitive advantage. Fair enough. So our club has done the same - ensured we have the competitive advantage in terms of numbers. C.2k tickets is not a small allocation given how many you brought to ours for the league game.
You will be placed in the upper tier, which is a terrific experience. Both sets of fans are being blocked from entering the pitch.
I hope you enjoy your trip. I will certainly enjoy my trip to your ground on Monday.
Both games will be 'crackers' (hopefully in the best sense).
not true when i go on mk website it clearly shows mk selling tickets to their fans in lower stands. So really just aimed at Crawley fans repeating celebrating getting in the play offs. Also on TV with fans all in one corner (both 'ends') and wide gaps showing in lower stands how naff is that gonna look?
True. They’ve sectioned off the first two rows with fabric barriers for home fans.
The club don’t want either sets on the pitch.
They’ve put you in the upper tier and restricted your numbers for the same reason you’ve restricted ours.
Thought I’d said all that.
It's very nice that your Club is in such a financial position, where you can afford to turn away extra money !!
JTG
Why be naive? Promotion back to L1 is much more valuable than one match takings. The club tries to be reciprocal. If you’d offered more than the minimum to us, we would have extended the same courtesy to you. Putting you in the top tier is a bit sh*t as I’ve said. But that’s been the policy all season.
Seems fair to me to gain advantage. You’ve done it. We’ve done it.
MK Dons capacity is quoted as 30500, your average crowd is 6855 Our capacity is quoted as 6134 and our average is 3044 approx. Recent matches we have been getting far bigger crowds and for the play off game we are unable to meet the demand for tickets. That is the only reason we have limited away tickets. Our support is growing and it is good to watch football in a large crowd which includes a big away following. We clearly are not in a position to offer you more tickets. MK dons appear to take pleasure in pissing off opposition supporters.

Our average crowd for 23/24 is actually over 3500. The 3044 may well be average home support. But as you say, we are not in a position to offer thousands of tickets to away fans for this sort of game without creating even more disappointment for our fans. The MK figure includes away fans so probably nearer 6000 for actual home support. If it had been 18-20,000 they might have had a point.
The Official EFL & SKY Figures for LEAGUE MATCHES ONLY for 2023/24 are:-
MK Dons Average League Two Attendance = 6,855 divided by their population of 265,000 means 1 in 38 people in that Town/City go to the Match.
CTFC Average League Two Attendance = 3,557 divided by their population of 118,000 means 1 in 33 people in that Town/City go the Match.
Both Clubs are in the Bottom 5 for the Whole Football League in Terms of PERCENTAGE Support PER Population.
Only Difference is Crawley will soon be out of the Bottom 5 because support is going up! MK Dons will Always be in the Bottom 2 for Whole Football League.
