Probably the finest performance that I have seen from a Crawley side.our Kelly’s work so well together and jay was immense in breaking up their attacks. Every player played their part in a terrific team performance. Corey has made a name for himself, definitely not a textbook performance but certainly one to remember.
One MK poster mentioned their larger pitch size, which can change a team's playing style. The numbers I got from the internet were:
MK Dons 105 x 68
Crawley Town 112 x 72 yards
As the MK supporter says their pitch is larger, I assume theirs is in metres rather than our yards. In yards theirs would be 114.83 x 74.37 yards, so about 114 yds 2ft 6in x 74 yds 1 ft - about 2 to 3 yards bigger in each direction. That doesn't seem much, but I guess that can make some difference with stretching a defensive line wider or with a ball over the top being kept in. In view of the gaps that can appear in our defence and midfield at times, maybe a fluid 5-4-1 or 4-1-4-1? However, we are not at our best when on the back foot, so it might be a conundrum for SL.
At least the mistakes at the beginning of the game didn't cost us. Brilliant goal line clearance by Will Wright in the first couple of minutes, before we scored. Could have been different.
Don't know what Correy was doing at times in the first half, he seemed to be playing at right back for a while. I think it was to improve the accuracy of his kicking, but dangerous leaving an empty goal when he does it. Had to race back a few times.
I am still in disbelief at last night’s result. I know we all hoped for such a scoreline, but none of us genuinely saw that coming. I don’t think any of us are counting our chickens just yet (and remember the Sheff Wed v Peterborough Play Off Semifinal 2nd leg last season 🤦♂️) but for the first time in our history, we have one foot on Wembley way.
16 goals conceded in the last 4 games and perennial play off bottlers, we are as good as out. Although our form at home is much better than away, we just cannot defend so you may as well plan your day out at Wembley now.
Other than the game and result though, a good day out. Enjoyed a drink or two in your club and spoke to several of your fans who were very welcoming.

Twitter went crazy last night commenting on Corey
As entertaining as he was, unfortunately he still remains an accident waiting to happen and let's pray it doesn't happen this season again.
Watching Corey trap the ball then beat a defender before providing a long ball upfield. In the short time he had the ball he managed to isolate their four attacking players and opened up a great attacking opportunity. Great to see but not to often. i suspect that MK Dons will be looking in detail as to how they can force him to make an error. Scott is fully aware of this as he is often shouting commands to him.
