Ok not a prolific goal scorer but he should add something different to what we had last season. As said earlier KAG wasn't prolific before he arrived and ended up scoring about 1 in 2. Welcome Ollie and good luck.
Evening guys Stags fan here just wondering what you thought to your new signing Olive Palmer. For those of you getting excited about him please calm dow, hes a L2 bench warmer at best with a bad attitude. For a big fella he cant jump and his pace is not pacey, he will be found out in the first 6 games and become a sub you bring for the rest of the zeason after that. Look at his track record, hes seems to of stole a carear and just gets moved on once found out, if your want to push for the top next year you need way better if you want to survive he might get you a few off the bench...... sorry to burst your bubble but he has not been missed where ever hes left. And his carear highlight is scoring against us to earn a 1-1 draw on a cold tuesday night last season 🤣🤣🤣
No, mate. His career highlight is joining Crawley Town.

He will be an improvement on TV but who wouldnt. Hes not going to get 20 goals though and worryingly almost every former teams support states he cant use his physical presence.
I'm not bothered about how he has played in the past - it's what he does for us that matters. No point judging him until he's had pre-season and a run of games. I imagine he will score a fair few for us. Likewise, the new slimline Verheydt could surprise a few people this season.

I’ve always thought he looked a handful, with good pace and touch for a big man. Made a lot of appearances for a side that made the playoffs. I’ve never in my life gone on to an another teams forum to slate an ex player, and find it a little sad that people have nothing better to do. Good signing.

Especially when he never played for Mansfield 😂
You mean the 7 goals in 64 matches were a figment of the imagination? a bit like the death of Bobby Ewing perhaps?

Lots of positive comments from Lincoln fans I have seen with negatives seemingly mostly from Mansfield fans? At least if he cant head the ball very well he will be in reasonable company with TV unless he has significantly improved in the summer, Jordan Roberts was a better header. From the clips Palmer has good skills on the floor and has scored a variety of goals, and TV has had a long time to prove himself so least we can do is give Palmer the same leeway.
Certainly seems a solid enough signing for this level, and although people are saying his goal record isn't great, how many target men are actully 20-goal-a-season men?
The likes of Palmer and Francomb know their way around the division, so I'm pleased to get them both through the door. After all, for a few seasons now we've mainly got down the unproven and unknown route so this is a step forward in quality.
Palmer's an upgrade on Verheydt IMO, but I do find it odd to have two big lumps on the books - you'd think one would perhaps be enough if ever Kewell needed a plan b.
I've been saying for a couple of seasons now how we're missing a nimble 5'9 Tubbs-esque forward and that void still hasn't been filled, but there is still time for Selim to work his magic, I guess!
