It's a difficult one to understand. He's done a good job here, improved our league position despite coming in and immediately losing a top striker in Collins (and not really being given the funds to replace him) but it's hardly been a remarkable success story, so it's tricky to see what has drawn Notts County's eye. I'd say up until this season, the job Nolan had been doing there was far more impressive than what Kewell was doing here.
Not sure it's the best move for Kewell either. He seems to finally have a squad he's pretty happy with, and though Notts County is obviously a much bigger club and, lets' face it, despite being bottom have brighter long term prospects, he would still essentially be asked to get them from the bottom of the league to the top in a short space of time with someone else's squad. He is still a very inexperienced manager and, IMO, needs to take baby steps if he wants to succeed. Getting tinpot Crawley Town into the playoffs or higher would register more with chairmen of Championship clubs who know the big name and just need to be impressed by a managerial achievement as well. If he wants to move on at any point then it makes far more sense to do it at the end of the season so he can have a pre-season at a new club, rather than trying to build the plane while flying it as he would be if he moved now (to borrow an odd but fitting Brendan Rodgers analogy).
Will be dictated by finance. You can go for someone who is inexperienced but independently wealthy from his playing days aka Kewell but wants a chance or a journey man. A succesful lower league manger is likley to want decent books and to need the money.
Yems may bea shout but he hasnt done front line mgt for ages.
Darren Ferguson's out of work, ditto Hasselbaink. Bowyer's a decent shout but not sure if he wants to stay in the north.
Would take Ferguson - proven success at our level. Like Bowyer, would he want to head south though?
Think Hasselbaink's ship has sailed now - poor record at QPR and was abysmal at Northampton. Would have taken him pre-Kewell but hasn't had the best of times since.

Before we start worrying about a new manager we first have to find out whether HK thinks it's worth his while moving, just because Notts County want to talk to him it doesn't mean he'll be going
If he goes then he goes, it means CTFC have to start all over again, same old bloody story, but it's not the end of the world, nor will it open the floodgates for a mass of top class managers wanting the job, it will open the floodgates for a mass of unemployed failures at other clubs wanting the job and that gets CTFC nowhere whatsoever, although I will be delighted to eat heaps of humble pie come next April

If HK does go ,I hope the club speak to Yems at least
