Good on them. I know they've a few quid behind them but let's face it, they've been in the Gola league for about 20 years now. Well done them!!
Indeed - I hadn't really expected them to get past Tranmere to be honest, but the locals here will be pleased as it means they can resume their 'El Glossico' matches! On a purely selfish note, It also means a nice short away trip next season too!

I don't think Tranmere did either!
Being in the middle of nowhere, the trip from Crawley by train is a mission. And then the bus ride.
Are you setting up an 'Away Travel' section on here too? Might be useful.

Are FGR the only league club without a railway stn in the club town or city or in the case of veggie green rovers...the hamlet the team resides in?
I think they might be. Perhaps more notably, they will be the team with the the smallest population in the football league, there are 5,794 in the town of Nailsworth according to wikipedia en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nailsworth.

But according to the FA list of agents fees will by a massive margin be the club which spends the most on agents fees, pretty much the same as Portsmouth at around £175,000 (we spent £3,000 I think). So it isnt really "little old Forest Green", not that I have a problem with them spending their money as they want but I wish we wouldnt get all the press "fairy tale" stories!

This little FGR thing does wind me up a little. Some of us of a certain age do remember them as Stroud FC, although a quick Google search shows Stroud only populates to 12K or so..., Ok then fair do's....but just remember little old Forest Green have won the fa vase, the fa trophy, infact they have made three or four Wembley appearances.(old and new)
You do still wonder how they will sustain league football....but more interestingly I wonder why we struggle to do just that.....even with Londons finest a short hop away!!

Spending a small fortune of their owners money may help sustain them league football?!! "London's finest" is our biggest problem!
