I wondered who that was in the clips of GC taking training yesterday, hopefully an assistant as far removed from Feeney as possible and I look forward to the two of them bringing the club a successful season, the only downside is his name, I don't like Rooneys, Nathan Roonetto sounds better ...
not sure Smiths input is that good...has he any experience for starters?
Well he's been caretaker manager for the last few games.........
Exactly, plus he's been a pro footballer for 12 years or so, captained more than one team, played over 450 matches and knows the club and fellow players, although whether any of that counts as experience I simply don't know .........
What we should do is employ RRR as adviser to Jimmy, so helping him with transferring all his knowledge of coaching and football management - that is sure to get him onto the next level.

just remember some great players (e.g. kevin Keegan) didnt necessarily mak ethem great managers and im sure the same can be said of coaches. Just because you can drive a Vauxhall Corsa does not mean you can drive a jugganaught.

Agree- that goes across many other areas of life too. I mean you could sign up to a message board and still be incoherent

Just remember some great players and some not so great went on to be successful coaches and managers. So why don't you give him a chance you whingeing maggot.

Id rather appoint on merit at the right level than take a punt.

Isn't any manager / head coach a punt an educated one but a punt all the same?
