Hopefully the new JC rather than the new (when he was with us) JA. Certainly built like an outhouse although he could do with losing the girlie beard. Welcome Thomas. When did a league side last have 3 Dutchmen play?
We'll leave you to tell him that. If he's as hard working as JC, with our wingers getting the crosses in I'm sure he'll go down well with the fans.
As has been alluded to, he has all the makings of a fans favourite. Let's hope he can deliver.
Starting to feel more confident about the season. We are obviously operating within budget constraints but I think we have made some intelligent signings. It's still all a bit of gamble with Kewell at the helm but just might be a master stoke!
I really hope we play to this fellas strength.Hes big and strong and hopefully a bit nasty too.Lets stick him up top and makes sure he only plays in and around the penalty box.Get those crosses in for the big man to feed upon and it could be very exciting.
Interesting signing...time will tell whether he can score 20 in a season and replace Collins. However to me we are still look short of a decent forward and I'd like to see Rhys Murphy back.
With the squad we have I will be happy if we can stay out of trouble really. If HK can gel this squad to finish top 10 then he will certainly get my respect.
Thomas will do great at your team I guess, hiss strong points are he's a good header, can hold the ball and he has a good technique for a big fella. He's not a push over sow he's suited for L2. His weakness is that he's not that fast and sometimes he's invisible in a game, like your team is down with 10 men on the pitch.
But the most I'm gonna miss about him is that he is a nice guy and Always has the time for a talk to the supporters. He was a big fan favorite.
The first half of the season he had a good stroke and scored 10 goals halfway the season, but after the winter he missed a lot of good changes and lost his place in the first 11. He did well as pinch hitter but thats not what he want's to be so when Crawley came they sold him.
I think the YouTube goals you guys saw are the older ones when he was still an amatuer player and worked as an plasterer. MVV gave him a change 2 years ago and he improved a lot, especially with the help of Erik Meijer(former Liverpool striker) who is a striker trainer at MVV Maastricht. He needed a little time to adapt to full pro, but that's normal.
here some links of goals in mvv shirt
And his best goal for us. playoffs semi finals at 3.32 min
I hope he do well at your club and wish him all the best. We are already making plans to visit a game upcomming season at Crawley Town. Greetings

Thanks for the videos Maastrcht. You will be made welcome when you visit. Plan to spend some time in our Redz bar before and after the match. Looking forward to see how Thomas adapts to league 2 football.. He seems like an exciting signing.

As for the player himself. im happy to see Thomas given a chance to prove himself in league two.Im sure he'll give 100% for the club as well as himself.

It seems to me that the Burton inspired moaning about TV is from his early days at a Dutch 3rd division club as a 21/22 year old, people, some people that is, are surprised that he didn't show up well at an English professional club? he was also injured from October 2012 to April 2013
I think, like most, that a pre-season under HK and WF, and with 2 fellow Dutchmen alongside, will give him the chance to prove himself at this level and, like most, I'll be hoping for him to be a success

Never mind Will Griggs at Wigan if The beast (TV) is 'on fire' opponents will be terrified. Who you wanna line up next to him in the tunnel? He might not need to even kick a ball i think his prescence could terrify defenders. Bring on the beast.

Terrify defenders? I think that is getting a little bit carried away. Adebayo Akinfenwa is a beast, Thomas Verheydt has got a unique look to him but hopefully he is a decent footballer as well as being intimidating, as he is being made out.
