Yes, it was a 2-2 draw with Woking, but it was his comments as the game ended that led to PA Steve Leake's "15 minutes of fame", including a mention on the BBC website of memorable moments at the end of the season.
For those not there, or more recent supporters, it was an announcement something like - "Our next home game is ....... thank you for coming, and don't forget to watch the highlights on Setanta so you can see just how far offside Woking's first goal was !"
Does anyone remember a few years back when we paid some bloke to come in and do the PA? I wonder if any clubs at our level have done that before, he used to get slated by some sections of our support, but I kinda liked it after a while, gave us a more professional look.

Michael Kurn. Lovely bloke, completely shafted and taken for granted by Michael Dunford so he packed it in. Seems to have done pretty well since though. Does a fair bit of TV work these days for Premier League Fanzone.

Fair play to him, he came across very professional from what I remember. I think he may have lived in Southampton at the time as I saw him in town often when I lived there. I imagine this sort of thing wouldn’t be economically viable these days, although a decent PA does make the Matchday experience better.
