Complete disrespect from both players for the club, the fans and the owners who pay their wages. We all know the club has been and can be a bit tin pot (it’s part of the attraction for me) but for two players to publicly criticise the club they play for (and treat the whole thing like a casual social media piss-take) is bang out of order. They should hang their heads in shame (I know they won’t), I would be a bit more inclined to let it go if they were setting the world on fire, but Poleon has been at best average since he has been here and Palmer has forgotten where the goal is since his suspension too. They both need to publicly apologise otherwise it is hard to see how it can be forgiven?
By the sound of it smacks a bit of the "big" clubs fans syndrome, where they think they are too good for our league/club while forgetting they are here because that is actually down to them and their performances/attitude that they are at this level. It was pretty obvious what Bradford fans thought of Poleon and his attitude when they managed to unload him on to u s, it would seem nothing has changed and he for one wouldn't be a loss as he continues his slide to non league.
Football clubs have very short memories when it comes to wrong doings by players who get sacked by one club, in extreme cases go to prison and then have another club waiting for them on release.
I didn't see the Instagram posting but an apology would be the least they can do now for their own reputations but the damage appears to have been done. I don't think it affected their performances yesterday though. Admittedly a poor game but they both created good chances which were not included in the Sky highlights for some reason At the end of the day their livelihoods depend on what they can do on the field of play and as they are under contract to Crawley need to step up if they want to move on.
Sad to hear the reports of Palmer and Poleon bringing the club into disrepute, you can’t expect loyalty, but you should at the very least expect respect and the sense and decency to not publicly criticise the club. I don’t know what the best way forward would be with those two players if the reports are true...
Good point away from home though, getting closer and closer to safety.
I think the club has to be quite strategic about this and not add to the bad publicity by blowing it out of proportion. Should be dealt with quietly in house, I disagree that we fans have to know everything about these management issues.
Practically we all know that Palmer is likely to be sold at the end of the season as no player who scores 20 for the club ever stays, as we know from McLeod and Collins. It’s in our best interests to get as high a price for him as possible so we don’t need to be advertising the fact he is a prima donna even if he is.
Poleon is a different kettle of fish and should be told by the club he is lucky to be playing league football given his fitful efforts this season

Proportion is already pretty big if two of our "big" players trash the club on social media for fans to see (albeit fleetingly). We shouldn't know the ins and outs of transfer details, players individual terms and conditions but we should very much know what is being done to players who trash the club we spend lots of money supporting even if we are not in their eyes big enough or enough of us to warrant their respect and professionalism. Nothing wrong with a bit of public humiliation in light of what seems they themselves indulged in regarding the club? A bit of strong leadership from the top wouldn't go amiss?
Apologies are worthless unless they are offered, never coerced.
Punishment should be agreed by their peers, indeed a financial penalty but also something relevant to the original actions... so i look forward to viewing...

Ps. My last post on the matter, bit fed up that the puerile antics of these two boneheads have overshadowed a scrapping away draw.
Those who are saying that is a good point I disagree, we had the opportunity to get all 3 yesterday against a distinctly average team, we were solid yes but the chance was there to get a win but it was obvious we had settled for the point. However positives were the defence, we are now a better defensive unit now Conns has gone (sorry to all you that worship him) Joe Mac finally coming back to the level he used to be and was class yesterday, Dallison is a very good signing and Francomb has been a different player since the switch to a back 3. Morias hasn't been the same player since the injury sadly, he hasn't been at it now for weeks and Cioffi is still tactically inept and his subs or lack of them really is shocking.

considering the predictions thread was spread with the doom of defeat i think not conceding and a point wasnt a bad result personally. Yes this league is of poor std and we should be doing far better but we never will under inconsistent performers and a rift in the squad from players that have no respect for the club, fans, co-players and management.

That would make excellent half time viewing on the pitch, with maybe a repeat performance in Redz after the game for those who wanted their half time pint or who were queuing at the refreshment stalls.
All of this reinforces my theory that just as you have to pass a driving test before being allowed on the roads then there should be some sort of idiocy test before people are let loose on social media.
Boys battled hard today and played some nice football at times..Every point matters now and the sooner we get 9 more points the better then we can relax a bit..
Thought Mcnerney played a blinder today. Must have a sore head after clearly nearly every ball into the box. .
Agree that McNerney was excellent. I've been critical of his distribution in the past but when it comes to the blood and guts defending, winning headers, getting tackles in and getting stuck in where the boots are flying he really excels. Interesting that one of their players went in on Poleon with a wild lunge along the lines of Joe's red card tackle in the Colcehester match. The ref yesterday didn't even think it was a foul.

Joe may not be the best footballer in the purest sense but if you want a good old fashioned blood and guts league 2 centre half then he’s your man and I’m glad we’ve got him.
